Billiard Cue Cleaner
Spray the cloth · Smooth stroke · Private label
Shaft getting sticky, dragging on your bridge hand, and leaving blue chalk on a cloth? Spray a microfiber cloth, wipe from joint to tip, dry it, and the maple shows through again with a smooth stroke. Private label from 500 bottles.
- Your bridge hand and grip hand sweat throughout play, leaving salt and skin oil on the shaft, and chalk dust sticks to it. After a few racks the shaft looks grey, feels draggy, and catches in your bridge. Water removes the salt but not the oil. The gentle surfactants here lift oil and chalk particles off the grain and onto the cloth, leaving the shaft dry and slick.
- Most shafts are maple, which swells and can warp if it absorbs water, the biggest risk in cleaning a cue. This cleaner goes on by cloth only and sits on the surface for seconds before drying, so nothing soaks into the grain. Use the same cloth lightly on linen or leather wraps and metal joint collars, and dry immediately.

Before & after
Before and after (use illustration)
Before: the section near the tip looks grey and feels draggy, and a cloth picks up blue chalk. After: wiped with a sprayed cloth and dried, the maple color and grain are clear and fingers glide without resistance.
- Before: the section near the tip looks grey, feels draggy, and sheds chalk
- After: natural maple color and grain are clear again
- Fingers glide along the shaft with no drag

How it works
How the Shaft Gets Slick Again
Skin oil from sweat forms a thin film on the shaft, and chalk particles stick to it, raising friction. Carried on the cloth, the cleaner leaves only a very thin liquid layer; surfactants emulsify the oil film so chalk loses its grip and the cloth fibers pick it up. A dry cloth follows straight away, before the wood can absorb anything, and friction against your bridge returns to normal.
- Dampen by cloth
- Emulsify skin oil
- Lift chalk
- Dry immediately

Usage guidance
Use guidance
- Spray a clean microfiber cloth until just damp; don’t spray the cue directly.
- Wrap the cloth around the shaft and wipe from the joint toward the tip once or twice; lightly wipe the wrap and joint.
- Dry the shaft right away with a second cloth and let it sit a few minutes before playing or casing it.

Where Billiard Cue Cleaner stands out
A Sticky Shaft Is Sweat, Oil, and Chalk Mixed Together

Surface-Only Moisture, No Water Into the Wood

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
Find practical answers about Billiard Cue Cleaner, private label, samples, MOQ, documents, and delivery.
How to use
Why does my cue shaft get sticky?
Salt and oil from sweat stay on the shaft and trap chalk dust, forming a grey, tacky film that raises friction. Wiping that film off regularly brings the smooth stroke back.
Can I spray it right on the cue?
No, spray the cloth. Maple shafts swell and can warp if liquid runs into the grain.
How often should I clean it?
After every session if you play often, weekly if you play occasionally. Regular wiping means you rarely need to sand the shaft.
Can I use a Magic Eraser on my pool cue shaft?
Don't use a melamine sponge together with the cleaner on your shaft. A melamine sponge works by abrasion, and this cleaner is meant to be used without sanding or scuffing. For a grimy, draggy shaft, spray CleenU Billiard Cue Cleaner onto a cloth, wipe off the sweat and chalk film, and buff dry right away. CleenU is not affiliated with Magic Eraser.
How do I make my cue shaft feel smoother?
Start by removing the sweat-and-chalk film, since that film is what makes the shaft drag. Spray the cloth, wipe the shaft, then dry it with a clean cloth. If it still feels slow, burnish with a leather shaft slicker; the cleaner has no wax or silicone, so nothing builds up. Skip sandpaper alongside the cleaner.
Surfaces and common questions
Is it OK on carbon-fiber shafts?
Usually yes, but finishes vary by brand. Test a short section near the joint first; if it doesn’t haze or whiten, go ahead.
Can I clean the tip?
No. A wet tip hardens and changes shape, affecting how it holds chalk. Stop short of the tip and ferrule.
Do I need to wax after cleaning?
No. It contains no wax or silicone, so the shaft feels like bare wood. For extra slickness, burnish with a leather shaft slicker.
The shaft feels slightly damp after cleaning. How long before I play?
Dry it right away with a clean cloth and there’s almost no moisture left; give it a few minutes to dry fully and you can play. Don’t chalk up or case the cue while it’s still damp.
Can I clean a linen or Irish-linen wrap?
Lightly, yes. Spray the cloth and press-wipe the sweat off the wrap—don’t rub back and forth or soak it, or the wrap can absorb water and loosen. Use a leather product on leather wraps.
Is it good for house cues at a pool hall?
Very. House cues build up sweat and chalk fast—wipe each one with a sprayed cloth after closing every day and give them a thorough clean weekly for a consistent feel.
Buying and private label
What should we decide first for a private-label billiard cue cleaner?
Three things: player retail or pool-hall use, whether to bundle with a shaft slicker and cloth cleaner, and whether to add a small travel size. Usage per session is small, so travel sizes and kits sell better.
What are the sample, MOQ, and lead-time terms?
Free samples are usually ready in 3–5 days. Standard MOQ is 500 bottles, and bulk orders are scheduled after packaging and labels are approved.
What can be customized?
All of it: formula direction, scent, fill size (500 mL spray, 100 mL travel bottle, 1 L refill, and more), mist or foam trigger, label design and language, and ecommerce bundles with a shaft slicker and microfiber cloth.
Can we test samples first?
Yes, we ship samples first. Test them on maple and carbon-fiber shafts with sweat and chalk buildup like the ones your customers handle, and record glide after wiping, residue feel, and effect on finish and grain. That tells you more than a before-and-after photo.
Which documents can you provide?
We provide SDS/MSDS, a TDS, and batch COAs, plus bilingual label content for your target market. They aren’t posted publicly; we send them per project on inquiry.
How is private-label pricing quoted?
Pricing is tiered by packaging, trigger or cap, label, and order quantity, starting at the 500-bottle MOQ. Send your target quantity, fill size, and packaging needs, and we’ll quote unit prices by volume tier with sample and lead-time details.
Launching your own Billiard Cue Cleaner?
