CleenU product solution
Bathroom Cleaner
Mildly acidic · Rinses clear · Private label
Shower glass that just smears, cloudy tile, a ring of soap scum around the sink? Spray, wait 2–5 minutes while the mild acid loosens it, then sponge and rinse for a clear shine without hard scrubbing. Fresh soap scent; private label from 500 bottles.
- Most of the white haze on shower walls and glass is soap scum: fatty acids from soap bind with calcium and magnesium in tap water to form insoluble calcium soaps, which trap body oil and dust in layer after layer. It is part mineral, part oil, which is why water or dish soap barely moves it. This cleaner's mild acid breaks the calcium bond while surfactants emulsify the oil, so after a few minutes a sponge lifts it.
- Do the shower walls, tub edge, sink, and faucet surrounds in one pass. Spray, wait 2 to 5 minutes, sponge from top to bottom, and rinse with the shower head. Squeegee or towel-dry glass and tile so water marks don’t come straight back. Keep it off natural stone; acid etches it.

Before & after
Before and after (use illustration)
Before: the lower half of the shower glass is fogged with white scum, with patchy trails where water runs. After: sprayed, left briefly, sponged, rinsed, and squeegeed, the glass is clear and the tile glaze shines.
- Before: a white soap-scum film and blotchy drip marks on the lower glass
- After: clear glass and glossy tile glaze
- Rinsed and squeegeed, no cloudy film

How it works
How Soap Scum Dissolves
Soap scum is mostly calcium and magnesium fatty-acid salts that do not dissolve in water. Hydrogen ions from the mild acid pull the calcium away, turning insoluble calcium soap back into fatty acids and soluble salts, while surfactants emulsify the fatty acids and body oil into fine droplets. With its structure gone, the scum loosens under a sponge and the rinse carries it away without leaving a haze.
- Mild acid breaks calcium soap
- Surfactants emulsify oil
- Sponge lifts
- Rinse

Why choose CleenU for Bathroom Cleaner?
From product positioning and samples to packaging and repeat supply, CleenU supports OEM/ODM projects built around Bathroom Cleaner.
Acid strength set by water hardness
Hard-water markets build thicker scum and need more dissolving power, but stronger acid is harder on coated fixtures. We balance the two for your market.
Spray and foam
Mist covers wide areas; foam clings to walls longer. One formula can run in both versions.
Sample reviews with clear criteria
Review samples on your tile and glass panels coated with soap scum against clear points: scum-dissolving speed, scrub passes, shine after rinsing, and effect on chrome.
Soap, fresh, or unscented
Scent drives repurchase in bathroom care; soap and fresh notes are most common, with an unscented option.
Labels and documents
We supply bilingual labels, SDS/MSDS, TDS, and batch COAs, with do-not-use-on-natural-stone and do-not-mix-with-bleach warnings on the label, and can arrange third-party testing for your market.
Consistent supply and reorders
Each batch is retained and ships with a COA, so reorders match in color, scent, and feel.
Packaging and labeling options
Plan packaging format, label language, and shelf presentation around Bathroom Cleaner and your target channel.

How to use
Why does the white film on shower glass smear when I wipe it?
That film is mostly soap scum, formed when soap reacts with calcium and magnesium in water; it is part mineral, part oil. Most general cleaners are alkaline and barely affect calcium soap, so they just smear the oil. A mild acid has to break the calcium bond first.
How long should it sit?
2 to 5 minutes, longer for thicker scum, but don’t let it dry; re-spray if it starts to.
Can I use it on a marble vanity?
No. Marble and limestone are calcium carbonate and etch under acid, permanently. Use the pH-neutral Tile & Stone Cleaner on natural stone.
Surfaces and common questions
Can I use it with bleach?
Never. It contains no chlorine itself, but it is mildly acidic, and mixing an acidic cleaner with chlorine bleach releases chlorine gas. Use them separately with a thorough water rinse in between.
How do I slow down soap scum?
Squeegee the glass and walls after every shower so scum and water don’t dry on, then a weekly spray keeps it under control.
Will it remove thick white scale on the shower head?
Light scale, yes. For a thick crust, a dedicated descaler soak works better.
The glass is still cloudy after cleaning. Did I miss something?
Usually it wasn’t rinsed thoroughly or water dried on the glass. Rinse the whole panel, then squeegee top to bottom. If the haze remains, the scum isn’t fully dissolved—spray again and give it the full 5 minutes.
How often should I clean?
Once a week is easiest for a home shower—thin scum lets go in about 2 minutes. Wait months and scum layers with hard-water scale, so it takes longer and more rounds.
Can I use it on an acrylic tub?
Yes—use a soft sponge, not a scouring pad or brush, so you don’t scratch it, and rinse afterward. Rinse any metal jet trim on whirlpool tubs promptly too.
Can I use it on plastic shelves, shower curtains, or plastic vanities?
Yes. It's suitable for plastic and acrylic surfaces. Let it sit 2 to 5 minutes, wipe with a soft sponge, and rinse with clean water; skip scouring pads and steel wool so the surface doesn't scratch.
Can I use it on mold on the bathroom ceiling or in corners?
It's not the right tool. This mildly acidic cleaner is made for soap scum and water spots; black mold stains need a chlorine-based mold remover to fade. Never use the two together: acid plus chlorine releases chlorine gas, so rinse with water before switching and keep the room ventilated. On a ceiling, don't spray overhead; dab the product on with a sponge.
Can I use it on brushed nickel, matte black, or bronze fixtures?
These finishes are often PVD or painted coatings that react to acid more than chrome does. Test a hidden spot first; if it's fine, spray a cloth rather than the fixture, wipe, then rinse and dry right away. For everyday water spots and fingerprints, a damp cloth and a dry wipe are enough.
Buying and private label
What should we decide first for a private-label bathroom cleaner?
Three things: household retail or hotel housekeeping, spray or foam (foam stays on walls longer), and soap scent or unscented. Repurchase in this category depends on scent and how shiny it looks after rinsing.
What are the sample, MOQ, and lead-time terms?
Free samples are usually ready in 3–5 days. Standard MOQ is 500 bottles, and bulk orders are scheduled after packaging and labels are approved.
What can be customized?
All of it: formula direction, scent, fill size (500 mL spray, 1 L refill, and more), mist or foam trigger, label design and language, and ecommerce bundles with a squeegee and sponge.
Can we test samples first?
Yes, we ship samples first. Test them on tile and glass panels coated with soap scum like the ones your customers handle, and record scum-dissolving speed, scrub passes, shine after rinsing, and effect on chrome. That tells you more than a before-and-after photo.
Which documents can you provide?
We provide SDS/MSDS, a TDS, and batch COAs, plus bilingual label content for your target market. They aren’t posted publicly; we send them per project on inquiry.
How is private-label pricing quoted?
Pricing is tiered by packaging, trigger or cap, label, and order quantity, starting at the 500-bottle MOQ. Send your target quantity, fill size, and packaging needs, and we’ll quote unit prices by volume tier with sample and lead-time details.
Launching your own Bathroom Cleaner?
Send us your market, water hardness, spray or foam, scent, and estimated volume. We will work through acid strength and packaging with you.
