CleenU product solution
Golf Ball Cleaner
Lifts grass and mud · Batch soak · Private label
Balls from the rough and bunker edges covered in grass stains, with dried mud in the dimples? Spray, wait a minute, and towel off for a white cover; brush out clubface grooves; range balls can soak 1:10. Private label from 500 bottles.
- A golf ball has over three hundred dimples. Rolling through wet grass and mud fills them with slurry and grass juice that dries into little plugs of soil, and chlorophyll stains the white cover green. A dry towel only reaches the surface. Spray this cleaner and the surfactants rewet and soften the dried mud while the mild alkali helps disperse grass pigment and plant wax, so a towel clears the dimples.
- Grooves on irons and wedges generate spin. When they’re packed with dirt and grass, a cushion forms between ball and face, spin drops, and landings get inconsistent. Spray the grooves, wait a moment, brush along them with a soft brush, and wipe dry for a clean face. The same product can be diluted for course ball washers and bulk range balls.

Before & after
Before and after (use illustration)
Before: a ball picked up from wet rough near a bunker has green grass stains and dried mud in the dimples. After: sprayed, left 1 minute, and toweled off, the cover is white and the dimples are clean.
- Before: green grass stains and dried mud packed in the dimples
- After: a white cover and clean dimples
- Mud and grass in clubface grooves brush out too

How it works
How Dimple Dirt and Grass Stains Come Off
Dimple dirt is clay, organic matter, and grass juice with chlorophyll and plant wax. Surfactants rewet the dried mud so particles disperse and soften, mild alkaline builders help emulsify plant wax and disperse chlorophyll so it releases from the cover, and the towel’s friction carries it all away.
- Rewet dried mud
- Surfactants soften and disperse
- Mild alkali lifts grass pigment and plant wax
- Towel removes

Where Golf Ball Cleaner stands out
Dimple Dirt and Grass Stains Won’t Come Off With a Dry Towel
A golf ball has over three hundred dimples.
Clean Grooves, More Consistent Spin
Grooves on irons and wedges generate spin.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
Find practical answers about Golf Ball Cleaner, private label, samples, MOQ, documents, and delivery.
How to use
Will it remove green grass stains from golf balls?
Yes. Spray, wait 1 minute, and roll in a towel. For older stains, soak at 1:10 for 10 minutes and then wipe.
Can I clean my ball during a round?
Under the rules you can mark, lift, and clean on the green, so a bottle in the bag is handy before putting. Follow local rules elsewhere.
How do ranges wash balls in bulk?
Mix 1:10, soak balls in a bin for 10 to 15 minutes, stir, then rinse and dry. Ball-washing machines can use the same ratio.
How do I clean used or lake golf balls?
Soak them in a 1:10 dilution for 10 to 15 minutes, scrub the dimples, then rinse and air-dry. Mud on used balls has dried hard in the dimples, so a quick spray won't lift it; the mildly alkaline solution softens it first so a brush can work it out. Keep soaks under 30 minutes, and spray-and-wipe any balls with marker lines instead.
How does a golf ball cleaner work?
It loosens soil and grass stain so a towel can carry them away. This formula pairs nonionic surfactants with mildly alkaline builders (pH 8.0–9.5): the surfactants wet and lift mud and sand out of the dimples, and the alkalinity helps release green grass pigment from the cover. There are no solvents or abrasive particles, so soaking time and a towel do the work, not scouring.
Surfaces and common questions
Can I use it on grips?
Wipe grips lightly with a damp cloth and a little product; don’t soak or saturate them, and dry afterward.
Will it damage the cover?
The mild formula is gentle on urethane and ionomer covers; normal wiping and soaks under 30 minutes won’t affect them.
Can I dump the soak water on the grass?
Not recommended; pour it down a drain or follow site drainage rules.
Will it wash off my marker lines?
A quick spray and wipe usually won’t; long soaking or hard scrubbing can fade them. For marked balls, spray and wipe rather than soak.
Can I use it on push carts and cart wheels?
Yes. Spray, wait a minute, brush mud out of the tread, and rinse. Keep it away from motors and electrical parts on powered carts.
For high-volume courses, which format makes sense?
Ranges and courses do best with bulk concentrate diluted 1:10 for batch soaking—lower cost per ball. Retail and golf-bag use suit small sprays you can use hole by hole.
Can I use it to clean golf club heads and grooves?
Yes. Spray the club head, wait about a minute, scrub along the grooves with a soft brush, then wipe clean and dry. Packed mud and sand in the grooves come out once they soften. Keep it to the head: don't soak grips or graphite shafts.
Buying and private label
What should we decide first for a private-label golf ball cleaner?
Three things: small retail bottles with towels for golfers or drums for courses and ranges; whether to co-brand with a course; and citrus or unscented. Golf accessory channels value packaging design and gift appeal.
What are the sample, MOQ, and lead-time terms?
Free samples are usually ready in 3–5 days. Standard MOQ is 500 bottles, and bulk orders are scheduled after packaging and labels are approved.
What can be customized?
All of it: formula direction, scent, fill size (500 mL spray, 1 L refill, and more), mist or foam trigger, label design and language, and ecommerce bundles with a golf towel and groove brush.
Can we test samples first?
Yes, we ship samples first. Test them on golf balls and club heads with mud and grass stains like the ones your customers handle, and record dimple mud and grass-stain removal, effect on cover gloss, and bulk-soak efficiency. That tells you more than a before-and-after photo.
Which documents can you provide?
We provide SDS/MSDS, a TDS, and batch COAs, plus bilingual label content for your target market. They aren’t posted publicly; we send them per project on inquiry.
How is private-label pricing quoted?
Pricing is tiered by packaging, trigger or cap, label, and order quantity, starting at the 500-bottle MOQ. Send your target quantity, fill size, and packaging needs, and we’ll quote unit prices by volume tier with sample and lead-time details.
