CleenU product solution
Dishwasher Cleaner Tablets
Active oxygen degreaser · One a month · Private label
Greasy sump and a sour smell? Rinse the filter, drop one tablet in the detergent cup or on the tub floor, and run the hottest cycle empty; grease and food residue flush out. Foil-wrapped, factory-direct private label.
- Greasy dishes send oil into the filter, sump, and lines, where it cools, sticks, traps food bits, and goes sour. In hot water, these tablets release active oxygen, washing soda saponifies the grease, sodium citrate ties up hard-water minerals, and the hot cycle flushes loosened grease and debris out.
- The liquid dishwasher cleaner is acidic and built to dissolve scale for hard water and cloudy glasses. These tablets are alkaline active oxygen for grease and odor. Homes with hard water and greasy cooking can alternate them, and brands can package both with washer tablets as one appliance-care line.

Before & after
Before and after (illustration)
Before: a dishwasher in a heavy-cooking kitchen, six months in, with yellow-brown grease around the filter and sump and a sour smell. After: filter rinsed and one tablet run on the hottest cycle, the sump grease is clearly reduced and the smell is gone.
- Before: yellow-brown sump grease, sour smell
- After a hot cycle: much less grease
- Door-open smell gone

How it works
How dishwasher grease gets flushed out
Dishwasher grease is cooled food oil filming plastic and metal, mixed with starch and protein residue. Percarbonate releases hydrogen peroxide in hot water to oxidize organic residue and odor compounds, washing soda raises alkalinity and saponifies grease into soluble soap, sodium citrate chelates minerals to prevent scum, and low-foam surfactants disperse the grease so it drains away.
- Rinse the filter
- Add one tablet
- Hot water releases oxygen
- Grease saponified
- Flushed out with the drain

Use guidance
- Remove the filter, rinse out debris, and reinstall.

Product, use, and procurement
Tablets or liquid dishwasher cleaner: which should I use?
The liquid is acidic and built for hard-water scale and cloudy glasses. The tablets are alkaline with active oxygen, built for grease and odor. If you have hard water and cook a lot, alternate them.
Where does the tablet go?
In the detergent dispenser or on the floor of the tub, then run the hottest cycle empty. In the rack it dissolves too slowly to reach the spray arms and sump.
How often should I use them?
Once a month, or every two to three weeks if you run the dishwasher daily and cook greasy meals.
What should we decide first for private-label dishwasher tablets?
Count, line, and wrap. A six-count half-year box is the most common, matching packaging with washing machine tablets builds an appliance-care line, and a water-soluble film means no tearing open.
How do samples and minimum orders work?
Free samples ship in 3–5 days. For tablets, MOQ and lead time depend on tablet weight and packaging, and we confirm both once the spec is set.
Are dishwasher cleaner tablets the same as detergent tablets?
No. Detergent tablets clean your dishes. CleenU Dishwasher Cleaner Tablets clean the machine itself. Run one in an empty dishwasher on the hottest cycle to break down grease film and odor in the spray arms, sump, and tub walls. Neither one can stand in for the other.
Do I really need a dishwasher cleaner?
If your dishwasher smells or the filter area feels greasy, yes. Grease and food bits build up in spots the regular wash cycle doesn't reach well, and a monthly cleaning cycle clears that film. Clean the filter first so the tablet goes to work on the tub instead of trapped food.
Product usage questions
Can I run it with dishes inside?
No, run it empty. The formula is made to clean the machine, and dishes block the spray.
Do I still clean the filter?
Yes. Pull it and rinse out the debris first, then run the tablet.
Can I use it with chlorine bleach?
No. Sodium percarbonate and chlorine cancel each other out and can create harsh fumes.
There's still white crust in the tub. Now what?
That's hard-water scale, and it needs the acidic liquid dishwasher cleaner. These tablets focus on grease and odor, not heavy scale.
How long does a box last?
At one a month, a 6-count box lasts about half a year; use one every 2–3 weeks with hard water.
Should I use one in a new dishwasher?
Yes. An empty run clears manufacturing oils and smells.
Will tablets harm the gaskets?
Not at monthly use as directed; the formula is designed for dishwasher interiors.
Can I use these tablets in my washing machine, oven, or toilet?
No. The tablets are made for an empty dishwasher running a hot cycle, which dissolves the tablet and sprays it through the machine. Washing machines have their own cleaner tablets, and ovens and toilets need products made for those surfaces. Use each product only where its label says to.
OEM/ODM customization questions
What can we customize?
Tablet weight and count, formula direction, scent, foil or water-soluble film wrap, carton design and language, and appliance-care kits with washing machine tablets and liquid dishwasher cleaner.
How should we test samples?
Run them in greasy, smelly dishwashers and record dissolve speed, grease left on the filter and sump, and odor afterward. That tells you more than a before-and-after photo.
What paperwork comes with a private-label order?
Documents such as SDS/MSDS, TDS, COA, and label copy for your target market are prepared per project. We confirm which ones your order includes when we quote.
Launching your own dishwasher tablets?
Send us your market, tablet count, packaging, and estimated volume. We'll build out the appliance-care line with you.
