CleenU product solution

Washing Machine Cleaner & Descaler

Cleans the hidden drum · Cuts odor sources · Private label

Black grime in the door seal, musty laundry, and dark flakes on clothes? Pour about 250 mL of washing machine cleaner into the empty drum, run the drum-clean or longest 60°C cycle, then an empty rinse—the buildup flushes out and the smell goes. Private label from 500 bottles.

  • Detergent and softener leave a little residue every wash that combines with hard-water minerals into soap scum on the drum walls. It stays damp and dark, so mold and bacteria grow there, producing a musty smell and sometimes black flakes on clothes.
  • Soap scum and scale are both held together by calcium. Acid dissolves the calcium so the crust loosens and sheds, a long 60°C cycle keeps the solution in contact with the drum walls, and an extra rinse drains the debris. Wipe the door seal folds dry and leave the door open after washes.

Before & after

Before and after (use illustration)

Before: black grime in the door seal folds and musty-smelling laundry. After: one cleaning cycle flushes out grey debris, the seal is wiped, and laundry smells fresh (illustrative image).

  • After: grey flakes flush out and clothes no longer smell
  • Finish with an empty rinse and dry the seal

How it works

How Drum Buildup Gets Flushed Out

Drum buildup is calcium carbonate scale and calcium soap scum with lint and biofilm. Acid converts the calcium salts to soluble ones and turns scum back into fatty acids that surfactants disperse, so the crust loses its structure and loosens. The 60°C cycle speeds the reaction, the tumbling scours, and the rinse drains the flakes.

  • Acid dissolves calcium and magnesium
  • Scum reverts to dispersible fatty acids
  • Buildup loosens
  • Hot long cycle scours
  • Rinse drains it

Where Washing Machine Cleaner & Descaler stands out

Washer Odor Starts Between the Drums

Detergent and softener leave a little residue every wash that combines with hard-water minerals into soap scum on the drum walls. It stays damp and dark, so mold and bacteria grow there, producing a musty smell and sometimes black flakes on clothes.

Acid Loosens It; a Hot Cycle Flushes It

Soap scum and scale are both held together by calcium. Acid dissolves the calcium so the crust loosens and sheds, a long 60°C cycle keeps the solution in contact with the drum walls, and an extra rinse drains the debris. Wipe the door seal folds dry and leave the door open after washes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

Find practical answers about Washing Machine Cleaner & Descaler, private label, samples, MOQ, documents, and delivery.

How to use

Why does my washer smell?

Run a cleaning cycle, wipe the seal and drawer, leave the door open after washes, and clean monthly.

What are the black flakes on my clothes?

Soap scum and biofilm shedding from between the drums. A cleaning cycle may release more at first; an extra rinse clears it.

Can I use it with bleach?

Never; mixing acid and chlorine releases toxic gas.

How do I clean black mold and gunk out of the door seal?

The cleaning cycle runs solution over the door seal. When it ends, pull back the folds, wipe out loosened buildup and lint with a damp cloth, and use a soft brush on stubborn black spots. After each wash, wipe water out of the folds and leave the door open. Don't use a chlorine mold spray on the seal the same day; the two must never be used together.

Can I wash clothes right after cleaning the machine?

Run one more empty rinse cycle first, then wash as usual. Skipping it can leave cleaner and freshly loosened residue on your clothes.

How do I use CleenU Washing Machine Cleaner & Descaler?

Pour one dose (about 250 mL) into an empty drum with no laundry. Run the tub-clean cycle or the longest 60°C (140°F) cycle, then run one more empty rinse. Afterward, pull back the door seal folds, wipe out loosened gunk, and clean the drain filter before your next load.

Surfaces and common questions

Does it work in top-loaders?

Yes; pour into the tub, fill, and run the longest cycle.

Does it need hot water?

60°C or the tub-clean cycle works best.

Black flakes still show up for a few loads afterward. Is that normal?

Yes—buildup between the drums keeps shedding for a few washes. Clean the filter before washing; flakes drop off after two or three loads. For heavy buildup, repeat after a week.

Can it clean a moldy detergent drawer?

Yes. Pull the drawer, soak it in diluted solution for 10 minutes, scrub with an old toothbrush, and rinse. Wipe out the drawer housing before refitting.

How often should I clean the machine?

Every 1–2 months for most homes; monthly if you wash cold, use a lot of liquid detergent, or have hard water. Leave the door open after each wash to cut down on buildup and musty smells.

Can I clean my washer with vinegar or baking soda?

Only in a pinch. Vinegar dissolves a little scale, but it's weak and has no surfactants, so it does little on soap scum and buildup between the drums; baking soda mainly deodorizes. Some washer manuals advise against regular vinegar use, so check yours. For routine care, a dedicated washer cleaner is less work.

Buying and private label

What should we decide first for a private-label washing machine cleaner & descaler?

Three things: liquid bottle, tablet, or powder; appliance-brand accessory partnerships; and subscription pack sizes.

What are the sample, MOQ, and lead-time terms?

Free samples are usually ready in 3–5 days. Standard MOQ is 500 bottles, and bulk orders are scheduled after packaging and labels are approved.

What can be customized?

All of it: formula direction, scent, fill size (500 mL measuring-cap grip bottle, multi-bottle packs, and more), single-dose bottles, tablets, powder sachets, label design and language, and ecommerce bundles with a seal brush.

Can we test samples first?

Yes, we ship samples first. Test them on front-loaders used two years like the ones your customers handle, and record debris flushed, odor reduction, and effect on metal. That tells you more than a before-and-after photo.

Which documents can you provide?

We provide SDS/MSDS, a TDS, and batch COAs, plus bilingual label content for your target market. They aren’t posted publicly; we send them per project on inquiry.

How is private-label pricing quoted?

Pricing is tiered by packaging, cap, label, and order quantity, starting at the 500-bottle MOQ. Send your target quantity, fill size, and packaging needs, and we’ll quote unit prices by volume tier with sample and lead-time details.
