CleenU product solution
Dishwasher Cleaner & Deodorizer
Citric acid descaler · Upside-down release · Private label
Sour smell when you open the door, or cloudy glasses? Clean the filter, set the bottle upside down in the top rack, and run the hottest cycle empty; scale and grease film flush away. Once a month, factory-direct private label.
- Every load leaves grease, food bits, and hard-water minerals that build up in the tub, spray-arm holes, and lines. Dishes come out cloudy, glasses spot, and the door opens to a sour smell. Pods are made to clean dishes gently, not to remove scale in the machine, so the machine itself needs a monthly descale and degrease.
- Upside down, the cleaner drains slowly with the incoming water and spray, working through the whole hot cycle; poured on the floor, most of it leaves with the first drain. One bottle is one cleaning, no measuring, and a three-pack covers a quarter.

Before & after
Before and after (illustration)
Before: a dishwasher with a year of hard water has white scale on the stainless tub, crusted spray-arm holes, a sour smell, and spotty glasses. After: filter cleaned and one hot cycle run, the white film is lighter, the holes are clear, and the smell is noticeably weaker.
- Before: white tub film, crusted spray holes
- After the cycle: lighter film, clear holes
- Afterward: fewer spots, less odor

How it works
How scale and grease get flushed out
Dishwasher scale is mostly calcium carbonate and phosphate, and the film is food oils. Citric acid's hydrogen ions dissolve calcium carbonate into soluble calcium citrate and chelate minerals so they don't redeposit, while low-foam nonionic surfactants emulsify grease at high temperature. The upside-down bottle keeps releasing cleaner through the cycle until it drains away.
- Clean the filter
- Bottle upside down in rack
- Citric acid dissolves scale
- Hot cycle lifts grease
- Flushed out with the drain

Product, use, and procurement
Why does my dishwasher smell?
Food trapped in the filter and grease on the lines and door gasket rot in the warm, closed tub. Rinse the filter, then run a hot cycle with the cleaner to flush the film out, and the smell goes with it.
Why are my glasses coming out cloudy?
Usually hard-water scale. Calcium and magnesium drop out of hot water and film over dishes and the tub, and scale in the spray-arm holes weakens the spray. Descaling once a month fixes both.
I already use dishwasher pods. Do I still need this?
Yes. Pods are made to clean dishes gently, not to remove scale built up in the spray arms and lines. This acidic cleaner handles the machine itself, once a month.
What should we decide first for a private-label dishwasher cleaner?
Format, count, and scent. Liquid bottles descale faster and tablets ship easier, so many brands sell both. Three-count and six-count boxes map to quarterly and half-year supplies. Pair it with washing machine tablets as an appliance-care line to drive repeat orders.
How fast can we get samples and a first order?
Free samples ship in 3–5 days. MOQ is 500 bottles, and production is scheduled once packaging and labels are approved.
Do dishwasher cleaners actually work?
Yes, on the two things behind most problems: hard-water scale and greasy film. Detergent pods are built to clean dishes, not dissolve scale in the spray arms and lines. This acidic cleaner loosens that buildup so the spray reaches dishes again, and the film that causes odor gets flushed out.
Can I use dish soap or a homemade mix instead?
Don't put dish soap in a dishwasher. Hand dish soap is high-sudsing and can foam out of the door. Vinegar or baking soda can freshen things a little, but a dedicated low-foam acidic cleaner is made for a full cycle and dissolves scale more thoroughly. Whatever you use, never combine it with chlorine bleach.
Product usage questions
Why does the bottle go upside down in the rack?
So it drains slowly with the spray and keeps working through the whole cycle. Pour it on the floor of the tub and the first drain carries most of it away.
Can I run it with dishes inside?
No. Run the machine empty; the cleaner is acidic, and dishes block the spray from reaching the tub.
Do I still need to clean the filter?
Yes, before you use the cleaner. It won't dissolve the chunks caught in the filter, so pull it out, rinse it, and scrub it with a soft brush.
Will the acid hurt a stainless steel tub?
No. One bottle per cycle keeps acidity and contact time well within what a stainless tub handles. Just don't pour it on the tub and leave it sitting without running a cycle.
Can I use it with chlorine dishwasher bleach?
No. Acid and chlorine release harsh fumes when mixed. Use them in separate cycles.
How often should I clean the dishwasher?
About monthly, or every 2–3 weeks with hard water or daily use.
Will it remove white scale inside?
It dissolves light to moderate scale; after a heavy buildup, clean once and use rinse aid or softener salt to prevent it returning.
How do I use a dishwasher cleaner?
Empty the dishwasher, clean the filter, then set the bottle upside down in the rack and run the hottest cycle. The cleaner can't break down food chunks in the filter, so rinse and brush it first. The upside-down bottle releases liquid gradually so it works through the whole cycle. Prop the door open afterward to air it out.
OEM/ODM customization questions
What can we customize?
Formula direction, scent, bottle style and size, count per box, carton design and language, and bundles with dishwasher tablets or a filter brush.
How should we test samples?
Run them in dishwashers that have seen at least a year of hard water, and note whether the spray-arm holes clear, how the white film and odor change, and how much spotting shows on dishes afterward. That tells you more than a before-and-after photo.
What paperwork comes with a private-label order?
Documents such as SDS/MSDS, TDS, COA, and label copy for your target market are prepared per project. We confirm which ones your order includes when we quote.
Launching your own dishwasher cleaner?
