CleenU product solution
Dive Gear Cleaner
Rinses out salt, chlorine, and funk · Keeps neoprene supple · Private label
Wetsuit smells like brine and sweat, and the neoprene keeps stiffening? Soak 5–10 minutes at 1:50 in fresh water, knead, rinse, and hang inside out on a wide hanger in the shade. Factory-direct private label.
- Salt and pool chlorine slowly harden and crack neoprene, while sweat and skin oil breed odor in damp rubber, and leaving it unwashed for days makes it worse. This cleaner gently washes out salt, chlorine, and sweat, neutralizes odor, and conditions the neoprene so suits stay flexible and last longer.
- Most detergents are alkaline with brighteners and fragrance that stiffen and fade neoprene, and softener can affect glue and seams. Skip hot water, spin cycles, and direct sun; dry inside out first, since the inside is dirtiest and wettest, then flip it, using a wide hanger so the shoulders don't stretch.

Before & after
Before and after (illustration)
Before: a neoprene surf suit left a day after a session, with a strong brine and sweat smell and a stiff feel. After: soaked 8 minutes at 1:50, kneaded, rinsed, and dried inside out, the smell is gone and the neoprene feels soft again.
- Before: brine and sweat smell, stiff
- Soaked 8 minutes, rinsed, dried inside out
- Odor gone, soft neoprene

How it works
How salt and odor wash out
Wetsuit residue includes sea salt crystals, pool chlorine, sweat salts, skin oil, and odor molecules from bacteria. Fresh water and mild nonionic surfactants dissolve and emulsify that residue, odor neutralizers bind smell molecules, and the neoprene conditioner leaves a protective, lubricating layer on the cell surfaces to slow aging from salt, chlorine, and UV.
- Dilute 1:50 in fresh water
- Soak 5–10 minutes
- Knead to dissolve residue
- Rinse
- Dry inside out on a wide hanger

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
Find practical answers about Dive Gear Cleaner, private label, samples, MOQ, documents, and delivery.
Product, use, and procurement
Can I wash a wetsuit with laundry detergent?
We don't recommend it. Most detergents are alkaline with brighteners and fragrance that stiffen and fade neoprene, and softener can affect glue and seams.
Why dry it inside out?
The inside touches your skin and is the dirtiest and wettest side; drying it first prevents odor. Direct sun ages and cracks neoprene.
How fast can we get samples and a first order?
Free samples ship in 3–5 days. MOQ is 500 bottles, and production is scheduled once packaging and labels are approved.
Product usage questions
How do I use it?
Dilute 1:50 in fresh water, soak the wetsuit 5–10 minutes, knead gently, rinse, and hang inside out on a wide hanger in the shade.
When shouldn't I use it?
No hot water, spin cycles, or direct sun, and skip regular detergent and fabric softener.
Can I use it on regulators?
Service regulators and dive computers per the manufacturer; this is for wetsuits and soft gear.
How do dive shops wash rental suits in bulk?
Soak in a large tub at 1:50, knead, rinse, and hang to dry in the shade.
Can I use it on swimsuits?
Yes. Chlorine damages swimwear too; soak at 1:50 and rinse cool.
What about a foggy mask?
Use a dedicated mask defog; this product is for cleaning only.
Can I use it on dive boots and gloves?
Yes. Soak at 1:50, rinse inside out, and air-dry.
What about the inside of a BCD?
Clean the exterior; flush the bladder with fresh water per the manufacturer.
Can I use it on board bags?
Yes. Spray or wipe the outside and let it dry.
How often should wetsuits get a deep clean?
Rinse with fresh water after every use and wash with cleaner every 3–5 dives.
How should I clean snorkel gear after a trip?
Rinse everything in fresh water the same day, then wash the soft gear. Salt and sand dry into straps, fin pockets, and mouthpieces, so a soak gets more out than a quick hose-off. Fins and booties can soak at 1:50 in fresh water; if you want to use it on a mask or snorkel, try a small area first and rinse well. Dry everything in the shade.
