Outdoor Algae Stain Remover
Chlorine-free organic acid · Won’t bleach plants · Private label
Green algae on the north wall and black streaks under the sills? Spray while slightly damp, wait 15–20 minutes, scrub, and rinse for a lighter wall again. Chlorine-free, so paint and plants aren’t bleached; private label from 500 bottles.
- Shady outdoor areas stay humid, so airborne algae spores land on walls and paving and feed on rainwater and dust, first forming a green, slimy film. Some algae produce dark pigments that run down walls with the rain as black streaks. Algae secrete extracellular polysaccharides that glue them to the surface, so rinsing removes the top but leaves the color. This remover penetrates the layer and breaks down both the cells and the polysaccharide matrix so scrubbing removes the color too.
- Bleach removes algae fast but also fades colored exterior paint, wood fences, and nearby plants, and the runoff isn’t garden-friendly. This organic-acid system is chlorine-free and gentler on colored coatings, wood, and surrounding greenery. Organic acids do react with calcium carbonate, so it isn’t for marble, limestone, or fresh concrete; test in a hidden spot first.

Before & after
Before and after (use illustration)
Before: the lower half of a light north wall is covered with green algae and black streaks run below the window sill. After: sprayed, left 20 minutes, scrubbed, and rinsed, the green and black are largely gone and the wall is close to its original light color.
- Before: green algae on the north side and black streaks under the sills
- After: the green and black streaks are clearly gone
- Chlorine-free, so colored paint and nearby plants aren’t bleached

How it works
How Algae Stains Come Off
An algae layer is cells held in place by the polysaccharides they secrete. The organic acid lowers local pH and disrupts cell membrane function, inactivating the cells and breaking down chlorophyll and pigments. Under acidic conditions the polysaccharide matrix loosens and loses grip, and surfactants help the solution penetrate and disperse the fragments. A stiff brush supplies the mechanical action and water carries the loosened algae and pigment away.
- Organic acid penetrates
- Disrupts cells and polysaccharide matrix
- Pigment loses grip
- Surfactants disperse
- Scrub and rinse

Where Outdoor Algae Stain Remover stands out
Green Slime and Black Streaks Are Both Algae
Shady outdoor areas stay humid, so airborne algae spores land on walls and paving and feed on rainwater and dust, first forming a green, slimy film.
Chlorine-Free, Kinder to Colored Walls and Gardens
Bleach removes algae fast but also fades colored exterior paint, wood fences, and nearby plants, and the runoff isn’t garden-friendly. This organic-acid system is chlorine-free and gentler on colored coatings, wood, and surrounding greenery. Organic acids do react with calcium carbonate, so it isn’t for marble, limestone, or fresh concrete; test in a hidden spot first.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
Find practical answers about Outdoor Algae Stain Remover, private label, samples, MOQ, documents, and delivery.
How to use
Is the green and black on my wall algae or mold?
Outdoors, green film and black streaks running with the rain are usually algae. Black dots in indoor bathrooms are usually mold; use a mold stain remover there.
Why not use bleach?
Bleach works fast but fades colored paint and wood and harms plants. This is chlorine-free and better around colored surfaces and gardens.
Can I use it on a marble statue?
No. Organic acid reacts with the calcium carbonate in marble and dulls it. Use a neutral stone cleaner.
How do I get green algae off a patio or wood deck?
Spray the algae, let it sit 15 to 20 minutes, scrub, and rinse well. The dwell time lets the acid and wetting agents work into the slimy layer algae use to cling, so the color comes off with the scrubbing, not just the surface film. On a wood deck, scrub with the grain and test a hidden spot first. For large areas, dilute 1:4 with water, and skip hot, sun-baked surfaces.
Surfaces and common questions
Can I use it on wood fences and decks?
Yes. Spray, wait, scrub with the grain, rinse, and let it dry. Test a hidden spot first for color and coating.
How soon will it grow back?
In shady, damp spots algae slowly returns; cleaning in spring and autumn is typical. Better drainage and airflow stretch the interval.
Can rinse water go into the garden?
Diluted small amounts have limited impact, but keep runoff out of beds, ponds, and waterways where you can.
How do I treat high walls?
Put diluted solution in a sprayer with an extension wand, spray bottom-up, then scrub with a long-handled brush and rinse top-down. Above the first floor, have professionals use proper access equipment.
The wall looks patchy after scrubbing. Did I miss spots?
Wet walls always look uneven—judge once fully dry. Reapply and scrub any spots that still show green after drying.
Can I use a pressure washer with it?
Yes—rinse at low to medium pressure after the dwell, which is faster than scrubbing. Keep the nozzle back from painted walls and old mortar so you don’t strip them.
Can I use it on an outdoor fountain or in pond water?
No. It's not for ponds, fountains, or any water feature. Use it only on hard outdoor surfaces like patios, walls, fences, and statues, and keep rinse water out of nearby ponds and basins. For algae in water, use a product made for fountains or ponds.
Can I use it to remove algae from metal?
Only briefly. Metal shouldn't stay in long contact with this acidic formula, so spray, scrub, and rinse metal promptly rather than leaving it for the full dwell time. Rinse any overspray off railings, hinges, and furniture legs near the area you're treating.
Buying and private label
What should we decide first for a private-label outdoor algae stain remover?
Three things: whether “chlorine-free, gentle on colored surfaces” leads the pitch, ready-to-use or concentrate, and your market’s rules on outdoor algae claims. Claim algae stain removal and check by market before any kill claim.
What are the sample, MOQ, and lead-time terms?
Free samples are usually ready in 3–5 days. Standard MOQ is 500 bottles, and bulk orders are scheduled after packaging and labels are approved.
What can be customized?
All of it: formula direction, scent, fill size (500 mL spray, 1 L refill, and more), mist or foam trigger, label design and language, and ecommerce bundles with a stiff brush and pump sprayer.
Can we test samples first?
Yes, we ship samples first. Test them on algae-covered painted panels, wood boards, and concrete samples like the ones your customers handle, and record green and black algae removal, effect on colored coatings and wood, and regrowth time. That tells you more than a before-and-after photo.
Which documents can you provide?
We provide SDS/MSDS, a TDS, and batch COAs, plus bilingual label content for your target market. They aren’t posted publicly; we send them per project on inquiry.
How is private-label pricing quoted?
Pricing is tiered by packaging, trigger or cap, label, and order quantity, starting at the 500-bottle MOQ. Send your target quantity, fill size, and packaging needs, and we’ll quote unit prices by volume tier with sample and lead-time details.
