Outdoor Power Tool Cleaner
Softens caked clippings · Cuts oil grime · Private label
Caked clippings under the mower deck and oily grime on the housing? Disconnect power, spray, wait 3–5 minutes, and scrape or brush it off; rinse, dry, and oil the blades. Also for trimmers and saw housings; private label from 500 bottles.
- Mowing wet grass throws juice, clippings, and mud against the inside of the deck, where it packs into layers that dry into hard, cement-like cake and hold moisture that rusts the deck. Sugars and plant wax in the grass juice glue the clippings together. The alkaline components soften plant fibers and wax and dissolve the juice, and surfactants penetrate the cake so after a few minutes it scrapes or brushes off.
- Engine oil and bar-and-chain oil mix with dust and clippings into black, sticky grime that blocks cooling and hides problems. The alkaline formula saponifies and emulsifies the oil, and a solvent helps dissolve sap and resin. Afterward, always dry metal blades and decks and apply a coat of rust-preventive oil, especially before winter storage.

Before & after
Before and after (use illustration)
Before: the underside of the deck is coated in thick dried grass cake with rust at the edges, and the housing has black oily grime. After: sprayed, left 5 minutes, scraped, brushed, rinsed, and dried, the deck shows bare metal and the housing grime is gone.
- Before: thick caked grass and mud inside the deck, oily grime outside
- After: bare metal inside the deck, clean housing
- Dry and oil the blades so they don’t rust in storage

How it works
How Grass Cake and Oily Grime Let Go
Deck cake is plant fiber, grass juice (sugars, proteins, chlorophyll, wax), and soil; housing grime is mineral and vegetable oil mixed with dust. Surfactants lower surface tension so the solution soaks into the cake, alkaline builders swell plant fiber and emulsify wax and oil while saponifying vegetable oils, and glycol ether solvent helps dissolve sap and resin. After scraping and brushing, a damp cloth or water removes the loosened soil.
- Surfactants penetrate the cake
- Alkali softens plant fiber and wax
- Saponifies and emulsifies oil
- Solvent dissolves sap
- Scrape, brush, rinse

Where Outdoor Power Tool Cleaner stands out
Grass Under the Deck Dries Too Hard to Scrape

Sugars and plant wax in the grass juice glue the clippings together. The alkaline components soften plant fibers and wax and dissolve the juice, and surfactants penetrate the cake so after a few minutes it scrapes or brushes off.
Housing Grime and Blade Sap in One Clean

How to use
How do I clean caked grass under a mower deck?
Disconnect the plug or battery, tip the mower tank-up, spray, wait 5 minutes, scrape the cake off, brush clean, dry, and oil.
Can I hose off my mower?
The underside of the deck, yes, but keep water off the engine, air filter, motor, and battery bay. Wipe battery tools rather than hosing them.
How do I remove sap from hedge trimmer blades?
Spray the blades, wait 3 minutes, wipe, and brush between the teeth if needed. Dry and oil them for smoother cutting and less rust.
What's the best way to clean dirty outdoor power tools?
Power down first, then spray, wait, brush, and wipe. Disconnect the spark plug or pull the battery, spray the grimy housing or deck, and give it 3 to 5 minutes so the alkaline formula can loosen grass, oil, and sap. Brush it free and wipe or rinse clean, keeping spray away from air intakes, motors, battery bays, and any engine surface that's still hot.
Surfaces and common questions
Can I use it on a chainsaw?
Yes, on the housing’s bar oil and sawdust grime. Maintain the bar and chain per the manual.
Is it OK on aluminum housings?
Briefly, with no more than 3 minutes of dwell, then rinse and dry right away so the aluminum doesn’t darken.
What else before winter storage?
After cleaning and drying, oil blades and decks, handle fuel per the manual, and store batteries separately somewhere dry.
Can I use it on black sap on pruners and hand saws?
Yes. Spray the blade, wait 3 minutes, and wipe off the softened sap—careful around the edge. Dry and oil it for a smoother cut.
What protection should I wear?
Chemical-resistant gloves, plus safety glasses when scraping the deck so debris and spray stay out of your eyes. Work outdoors in fresh air.
How often should I clean the mower deck?
Every 2–3 mows during wet or fast-growth periods. It scrapes off easily while still soft; a full season of buildup hardens into a crust and speeds rust.
Buying and private label
What should we decide first for a private-label outdoor power tool cleaner?
Three things: home-garden retail or professional packs for landscapers and rental fleets, spray or foam (foam clings inside the deck longer), and whether to pair with rust-preventive oil as a season-end kit. Garden-tool care has steady demand in Western garden channels.
What are the sample, MOQ, and lead-time terms?
Free samples are usually ready in 3–5 days. Standard MOQ is 500 bottles, and bulk orders are scheduled after packaging and labels are approved.
What can be customized?
All of it: formula direction, scent, fill size (500 mL spray, 1 L refill, and more), mist or foam trigger, label design and language, and ecommerce bundles with a scraper and rust-preventive oil.
Can we test samples first?
Yes, we ship samples first. Test them on steel deck samples with dried grass cake and plastic housings with oily grime like the ones your customers handle, and record softening time on dried grass cake, grime removal, and effect on aluminum and coatings. That tells you more than a before-and-after photo.
Which documents can you provide?
We provide SDS/MSDS, a TDS, and batch COAs, plus bilingual label content for your target market. They aren’t posted publicly; we send them per project on inquiry.
How is private-label pricing quoted?
Pricing is tiered by packaging, trigger or cap, label, and order quantity, starting at the 500-bottle MOQ. Send your target quantity, fill size, and packaging needs, and we’ll quote unit prices by volume tier with sample and lead-time details.
