CleenU product solution
Tent & Outdoor Gear Cleaner
Clean and re-waterproof · PFAS-free · Private label
Muddy tent after a trip, and rain soaking in instead of beading? Pitch or lay it out, wet it, brush stains, rinse, then spray an even coat while damp so water beads again. PFAS-free, factory-direct private label.
- Outdoor fabric has a water-repellent finish that makes water bead. Dirt, skin oil, and sunscreen clog or wear it off, so rain soaks in and gear gets heavy and cold. This product washes off the grime with mild surfactants, then a water-based, PFAS-free polymer rebuilds the repellent layer on the fibers.
- Don't machine-wash tents; it damages coatings and seam tape, so pitch or lay them out and hand-scrub. Most rain jackets wet out because the finish is clogged or worn, which cleaning and respraying restore; a damaged membrane needs repair. Don't spray down fill directly, and dry everything fully before storage to prevent mildew.

Before & after
Before and after (illustration)
Before: a tent fly after camping with mud and sap on the hem, where water soaks in and darkens the fabric. After: wetted, brushed, rinsed, sprayed while damp, and dried, the stains are gone and water beads again.
- Before: mud, sap, wetting out
- Brushed, rinsed, sprayed damp, dried
- Clean and beading again

How it works
How the repellent layer gets rebuilt
Outdoor fabric repels water thanks to a low-surface-energy finish on the fibers. Dirt, oil, and sunscreen cover it and raise surface energy, so water wets the fabric. Mild nonionic surfactants emulsify and wash away the grime first; then the water-based repellent polymer, sprayed onto damp fabric, attaches to the fibers and dries into a new low-energy layer that restores beading.
- Pitch or lay out
- Wet and brush
- Rinse away grime
- Spray evenly while damp
- Air-dry to form the film

Usage guidance
Use guidance

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
Find practical answers about Tent & Outdoor Gear Cleaner, private label, samples, MOQ, documents, and delivery.
Product, use, and procurement
Can I machine-wash my tent?
We don't recommend it. Machine washing damages coatings and seam tape; lay it out or pitch it and hand-scrub instead.
Can a rain jacket's water repellency be restored?
Usually, yes. Most wetting out comes from a clogged or worn surface finish, which cleaning and respraying restore. A damaged membrane needs repair.
How fast can we get samples and a first order?
Free samples ship in 3–5 days. MOQ is 500 bottles, and production is scheduled once packaging and labels are approved.
Product usage questions
How do I use it?
Pitch or lay out the gear, wet it down, brush stains gently, rinse, then spray an even coat while the fabric is still damp and let it air-dry.
When shouldn't I use it?
Don't spray down fill directly or machine-wash tents, and always dry gear fully before storing.
Can I clean a mildewed tent?
Light spots can be scrubbed and dried; heavy mildew damages coatings and needs a pro.
How long does the repellency last?
Depending on use and abrasion, usually about a camping season before respraying.
Can I use it on hiking boots?
Fabric boots, yes, clean then spray; use a leather waterproofer on leather boots.
Can I machine-wash a jacket first, then spray?
Yes. Wash per the care label and spray while damp for best results.
Can I use it on backpacks?
Yes. Clean and spray the outer shell; wipe straps and back panels with a damp cloth.
Can I use it on down sleeping bags?
Spray the shell only, never the down fill.
How soon can I use gear after spraying?
Once fully dry, usually 12–24 hours.
Can I use it on tarps and awnings?
Yes. Polyester and nylon tarps can be cleaned and sprayed.
