CleenU product solution
Outdoor Cushion & Fabric Cleaner
Made for outdoor cushions · Blot or hose off · Private label
Patio cushions gone grey with dust and rain marks, plus bird droppings, tree sap, and sunscreen spots? For spots, spray, wait 3–5 minutes, and blot. For whole cushions, spray them down, scrub with a soft brush, hose off, and stand them up to dry. Low-foam and bleach-free; private label from 500 bottles.
- The grey cast on patio cushions is dust and pollen that rain carried into the fibers and left behind; rain marks are soil collecting at the drying edge. Bird droppings, sap, and leaf stains are organic residue and plant pigment; sunscreen and BBQ spatter are oils. The mild alkali and surfactants emulsify oils and disperse dust so the soil lets go of the fibers.
- For one or two spots, spray, wait, and blot; there's no need to soak the whole cushion. When the whole seat is grey, wet it, scrub with a soft brush along the fabric, and hose off, so you don't end up with a clean patch next to a dingy one. Stand the cushion on edge to dry and water drains out faster.

Before & after
Before and after (use illustration)
Before: beige patio cushions look grey overall, with a few bird-dropping marks and sunscreen spots on the pillows. After: spots blotted, cushions scrubbed, hosed off, and dried, the fabric is noticeably lighter, the marks are gone, and there are no rain rings.
- Before: grey, dingy patio cushions with bird-dropping and sunscreen marks
- After: noticeably lighter fabric, marks gone
- No rain rings once dry

How it works
How Outdoor Stains Come Out
Surfactants carry the solution between the fibers of outdoor fabric; mild alkali emulsifies sunscreen and grease and disperses dust and pollen, while bird droppings and sap soften as they wet. On spots, a towel blots the loosened soil away; on whole cushions, a soft brush works it out and a rinse carries it off. Low foam rinses quickly and leaves little behind.
- Wets fibers
- Emulsifies oils
- Disperses dust and pollen
- Softens organic residue
- Blot, or scrub and rinse

How to use
How do I clean patio cushions that have gone grey all over?
Brush off loose dust and leaves, spray the whole cushion, and wait 3–5 minutes. Scrub along the fabric with a soft brush, hose off until no suds remain, and stand it on edge in a breezy spot to dry. Cleaning the whole cushion avoids a clean patch next to a dingy one.
Do I have to wash the whole cushion for one or two spots?
No. Spray the spot, wait 3–5 minutes, and blot from the outside in with a white towel, then feather the edge with a damp towel so it dries without a ring.
How do I get bird droppings and tree sap off outdoor cushions?
Let bird droppings dry, then brush or scrape off the crust with a plastic scraper before spraying and blotting or scrubbing. Give sap a little longer, about 5 minutes, to soften before scrubbing; it may take two or three rounds. Don't pick at it with a fingernail or stiff brush, which fuzzes the fabric.
Will it remove sunscreen and BBQ grease spots?
Yes, and sooner is easier. Blot off surface oil with a paper towel, spray, wait 3–5 minutes, then blot or brush lightly and rinse. Spots left for weeks that have yellowed take several rounds and fade gradually.
Can I use a pressure washer on outdoor cushions?
Not up close. A pressure washer can fuzz the fabric, loosen seams, and drive water deep into the foam, where it takes a long time to dry. A garden hose or shower head rinses them clean.
Surfaces and common questions
Can I machine-wash the cushion covers?
Check the care tag first. If it allows machine washing, pretreat stains with this cleaner for 10 minutes, wash cold on a gentle cycle, and air-dry; don't tumble dry, which can shrink covers. If the cover doesn't come off, scrub and rinse the cushion instead.
Can I use it on mildew spots?
No. It's made for dust, bird droppings, sap, and grease, and mildew spots are outside what it handles. Don't use a chlorine mold remover on cushions either, because it bleaches fabric. Follow the fabric maker's instructions for mildew, and always dry cushions fully before storing them.
How soon can we sit on the cushions?
Once they're fully dry to the touch. If the foam inside is still wet, it can develop a musty smell. Standing cushions on edge after rinsing helps water drain and dries them faster.
Can I clean the metal or wood frame with it too?
No, use an outdoor furniture cleaner on frames; it's made for aluminum, wrought iron, teak, wicker, and plastic. When you rinse the cushions, just rinse any suds off the frame too.
Can I use it on an indoor fabric sofa?
Not recommended. It's designed for outdoor cushions, which are cleaned with plenty of water. Indoor fabric sofas can't be rinsed like that, so a fabric upholstery spot cleaner used with little water is the better fit.
How do I keep outdoor cushions clean longer?
Once they're clean and dry, a fabric protector spray helps rain and drinks bead up. Cover or store cushions when not in use, bring them in before rain, and avoid leaving them long-term under trees where birds roost.
Can I use it in direct sun?
Avoid hot surfaces in direct sun; the cleaner dries too fast and can leave marks. Clean in the morning, evening, or shade.
Buying and private label
What should we decide first for a private-label outdoor cushion cleaner?
Three things: spray or brush-head foam bottle, outdoor furniture, garden, or ecommerce channel, and scent.
What are the sample, MOQ, and lead-time terms?
Free samples are usually ready in 3–5 days. Standard MOQ is 500 bottles, and bulk orders are scheduled after packaging and labels are approved.
What can be customized?
All of it: formula direction, scent, fill size (500 mL spray, 1 L refill, and more), mist or foam trigger, label design and language, and ecommerce bundles with white towels and a soft brush.
Can we test samples first?
Yes, we ship samples first. Test them on the outdoor fabric and typical stains your customers deal with, such as dust, bird droppings, and sunscreen, and record removal, how cleanly it rinses, and color and feel once dry. That tells you more than a before-and-after photo.
Which documents can you provide?
We provide SDS/MSDS, a TDS, and batch COAs, plus bilingual label content for your target market. They aren’t posted publicly; we send them per project on inquiry.
How is private-label pricing quoted?
Pricing is tiered by packaging, trigger or cap, label, and order quantity, starting at the 500-bottle MOQ. Send your target quantity, fill size, and packaging needs, and we’ll quote unit prices by volume tier with sample and lead-time details.
Launching your own outdoor cushion cleaner?
Send us your market, channel, bottle, and estimated volume. We will work through formula and packaging with you.
