Fabric Upholstery Cleaner
Enzyme formula · Milk and sauce stains · Private label
Dried, yellowed milk, sauce spots, and snack marks on the sofa? Scrape off solids, spray, and give protein stains 10 minutes to break down, then blot from the outside in. It dries even-colored with no ring. Private label from 500 bottles.
- Protein from milk, egg, and meat juices denatures as it dries and binds to fibers, turning yellow and stiff over time. Ordinary cleaners struggle, and hot water sets it harder. The protease in this cleaner cuts large proteins into small fragments that lose their grip on the fibers, so after 10 minutes the stain blots away.
- Sofa food stains are usually mixed: sauce has oil, sugar, and color; juice has sugar and natural dyes; snack marks have oil and powder. Surfactants emulsify the fat, the water phase dissolves sugar, builders loosen color, and enzymes take care of protein. The method stays the same: scrape solids, spray and wait, blot from outside in with a white cloth, and press dry.

Before & after
Before and after (use illustration)
Before: a light grey fabric cushion has a yellowed, stiff milk stain and a few oily sauce spots. After: sprayed, left to work, blotted, and dried, the stains are gone, the color matches, the fabric is soft, and there’s no ring.
- Before: a hardened yellow milk stain and a few sauce spots on a grey cushion
- After: stains lifted, fabric color even
- Soft once dry, with no water ring

How it works
How Food Stains Break Down and Lift
Food stains are a mix of protein, fat, sugar, and pigment. Protease is most active in a neutral to mildly alkaline range and hydrolyzes denatured protein into soluble peptides; surfactants emulsify fat into fine droplets; sugar dissolves in water. With everything suspended, a white cloth wicks it all up as you blot. Working with little liquid keeps it in the surface fibers and out of the foam.
- Protease cuts protein
- Surfactants emulsify fat
- Water dissolves sugar
- Blot to transfer

Where Fabric Upholstery Cleaner stands out
Milk Stains Yellow and Stiffen Because Protein Sets in the Fabric
Protein from milk, egg, and meat juices denatures as it dries and binds to fibers, turning yellow and stiff over time. Ordinary cleaners struggle, and hot water sets it harder. The protease in this cleaner cuts large proteins into small fragments that lose their grip on the fibers, so after 10 minutes the stain blots away.

Why choose CleenU for Fabric Upholstery Cleaner?
From product positioning and samples to packaging and repeat supply, CleenU supports OEM/ODM projects built around Fabric Upholstery Cleaner.
Enzyme choice and stability
Protease handles milk and egg; amylase can be added for starch and sauces. Enzymes need stabilizers to stay active on the shelf.
Spray or foam
Mist covers evenly; foam stays on the surface and is less likely to reach the foam. We make both.
Sample reviews with clear criteria
Review samples on your sofa fabric swatches with milk, sauce, and grease stains against clear points: removal of milk, sauce, and grease, blotting passes, and water rings and feel after drying.
Linen fresh or unscented
Home textiles suit light scents; an unscented version suits families with babies.
Labels and documents
We supply bilingual labels, SDS/MSDS, TDS, and batch COAs, with check-code, no-hot-water-on-protein, and not-for-wool-or-silk instructions on the label, and can arrange third-party testing for your market.
Consistent supply and reorders
Each batch is retained and ships with a COA, so reorders match in color, scent, and feel.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
Find practical answers about Fabric Upholstery Cleaner, private label, samples, MOQ, documents, and delivery.
How to use
A dried milk stain has turned yellow. Can it still come out?
Yes, with more time. Milk is a protein stain; spray and wait 10 minutes for the enzyme to work, then blot with a damp white cloth. Very old stains may need two rounds.
Why not use hot water on milk stains?
Heat coagulates the protein in milk and egg so it bonds harder to the fibers. Treat protein stains at room temperature.
How do I know if my sofa is compatible?
Check the code on the label: W or W/S is fine; S means solvent only and X means vacuum only, so skip those. If there’s no label, test on the back first.
How do I clean fabric upholstery by hand when the cushions don't come off?
Spot-clean only, and never soak the cushion. Check the cleaning code first (W or W/S), vacuum, then mist the stain lightly, let it loosen, and blot from the outside edge toward the center with a damp white cloth. Finish by pressing dry with a dry towel. Overspraying soaks the foam and is the main cause of water rings.
Surfaces and common questions
Will it leave a water ring?
Not if you spray lightly, blot well, and press dry at the end. Feather the edge of the treated area with a damp cloth so there’s no hard wet-dry line.
Can I use it on wool or silk upholstery?
Not recommended. Protease can act on protein fibers like wool and silk; use a professional cleaner.
Will it handle red wine or coffee?
Fresh ones, yes: blot, then spray and blot. Old, dark dye stains may only lighten.
Can it handle baby spit-up or vomit?
Yes. Blot up solids and liquid with paper towels, spray, and wait 10 minutes for the proteins to break down, then blot with a damp cloth. If odor remains, repeat once it’s dry. Avoid hot water—heat sets proteins into the fibers.
The stain spreads into a bigger ring as I blot.
You’ve used too much. Stop adding product, blot from the outer edge toward the center with a dry cloth, and feather the edge with a barely damp cloth so there’s no sharp wet line—it’s much less likely to ring as it dries.
Can I just machine-wash the cushion covers?
Check the care tag. If machine-washable, pretreat spots with this for 10 minutes, then wash per the tag. If not, spot-clean only—don’t soak it, or the foam will hold water and be hard to dry.
What should I watch for with kids and pets at home?
Follow a few conditions: blot up excess liquid and let the fabric dry fully before kids or pets sit or lie on it. It's an enzyme and gentle-surfactant formula with no bleach, but enzymes can irritate skin, so wear gloves if yours is sensitive, and keep the bottle out of reach of children and pets. Don't use it on silk, wool, or fabrics with cleaning code S or X.
Can I use it on polyester upholstery or cloth car seats?
Yes, when the cleaning code is W or W/S—check the tag, or test a hidden spot first if there isn't one. Spray lightly, blot instead of scrubbing, and let the seat dry fully before sitting on it.
Buying and private label
What should we decide first for a private-label fabric upholstery cleaner?
Three things: families with young kids or general household, whether to lead with the enzyme claim, and linen fresh or unscented. Enzyme formulas need a check of the target market’s labeling rules for enzymes.
What are the sample, MOQ, and lead-time terms?
Free samples are usually ready in 3–5 days. Standard MOQ is 500 bottles, and bulk orders are scheduled after packaging and labels are approved.
What can be customized?
All of it: formula direction, scent, fill size (500 mL spray, 1 L refill, and more), mist or foam trigger, label design and language, and ecommerce bundles with white microfiber cloths and a soft brush.
Can we test samples first?
Yes, we ship samples first. Test them on sofa fabric swatches with milk, sauce, and grease stains like the ones your customers handle, and record removal of milk, sauce, and grease, blotting passes, and water rings and feel after drying. That tells you more than a before-and-after photo.
Which documents can you provide?
We provide SDS/MSDS, a TDS, and batch COAs, plus bilingual label content for your target market. They aren’t posted publicly; we send them per project on inquiry.
How is private-label pricing quoted?
Pricing is tiered by packaging, trigger or cap, label, and order quantity, starting at the 500-bottle MOQ. Send your target quantity, fill size, and packaging needs, and we’ll quote unit prices by volume tier with sample and lead-time details.
Launching your own Fabric Upholstery Cleaner?
Send us your market, target households, whether to lead with enzymes, and estimated volume. We will work through the enzyme formula and packaging with you.
