CleenU product solution
Vinyl Record Cleaner
Alcohol-free, low residue · Less crackle · Private label
Pops, clicks, and hiss on your records? Mist the microfiber cloth 2–3 times, wipe in circles along the grooves, and let it dry 1–2 minutes before playing; dust and fingerprint oil come out of the grooves. Factory-direct private label.
- Pops, clicks, and hiss usually come from dust and skin oil lodged in grooves finer than a hair, which the stylus turns into noise. Deionized water with a trace of surfactant loosens the film and dust so a wipe along the grooves lifts it out, drying without residue.
- Strong alcohol can affect plasticizers in vinyl over time and make it brittle. This formula has no alcohol or ammonia, using deionized water instead. Keep it off the center label, don't use it on shellac 78s, and always wipe in circles along the grooves, never across them.

Before & after
Before and after (illustration)
Before: a used LP with dust and fingerprints that crackles noticeably. After: wet-wiped along the grooves and dried, it plays with clearly fewer pops and lower surface noise.
- Before: dust, prints, loud crackle
- Wet-wiped along the grooves, dried
- Fewer pops, lower noise

How it works
How grooves come clean
Groove grime is airborne dust stuck together with skin oil, held tighter by static. Deionized water has no minerals, so it dries without white spots; a trace of nonionic surfactant lowers surface tension so the cleaner reaches into the grooves and emulsifies oil; microfiber wiped along the grooves pulls loosened particles out and reduces static pickup.
- Record on a clean surface
- Mist the microfiber cloth
- Surfactant emulsifies oil
- Wipe in circles along grooves
- Dry 1–2 minutes before playing

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
Find practical answers about Vinyl Record Cleaner, private label, samples, MOQ, documents, and delivery.
Product, use, and procurement
Can I clean records with alcohol?
We don't recommend it. Strong alcohol can affect plasticizers in the vinyl over time, which is why this formula is deionized-water based.
How often should I clean records?
Clean used records before the first play, brush with a carbon-fiber brush before each play, and wet-clean whenever noise creeps up.
How fast can we get samples and a first order?
Free samples ship in 3–5 days. MOQ is 500 bottles, and production is scheduled once packaging and labels are approved.
Product usage questions
How do I use it?
Lay the record on a clean surface, mist the microfiber cloth 2–3 times, wipe gently in circles following the grooves, and let it dry 1–2 minutes before playing.
When shouldn't I use it?
Don't spray the center label, don't use it on shellac 78s, and never wipe across the grooves.
Can it clean moldy records?
Light mold spots can be wet-wiped and dried; heavy mold calls for a record cleaning machine.
Can I use it in a record cleaning machine?
Yes, diluted per the machine's directions.
How should I store cleaned records?
Put them in anti-static inner sleeves before the jacket so dust doesn't resettle.
Should I clean the stylus too?
Yes, with a stylus brush and stylus cleaner, not this fluid.
Can I use it on CDs and DVDs?
Yes. Mist a soft cloth and wipe straight from center to edge.
Should I clean new records?
Yes. New pressings can carry release agent and static dust, so clean before first play.
How soon can I play it?
Once fully dry, usually 5–10 minutes.
Can I use it on shellac 78s?
No. Shellac is sensitive to alcohol and some surfactants; consult a specialist.
How do I get fingerprints off a vinyl record?
Wet-clean them; a dry cloth just smears the oil around. Fingerprints leave skin oil that holds dust in the grooves and adds surface noise. Mist a microfiber cloth 2–3 times with CleenU Vinyl Record Cleaner, wipe in circles following the grooves, and let the record dry before playing. Keep the spray off the center label.
What is this record cleaner made of?
It's a deionized-water formula rather than a strong-alcohol cleaner. Deionized water doesn't leave mineral spots behind as it dries, and skipping strong alcohol avoids stressing the vinyl over repeated cleanings. Brands evaluating it for private label can request the SDS with a quote.
Can I use it in an ultrasonic record cleaner?
Yes—dilute it according to your machine's directions. Follow the machine's ratio, keep the labels out of the bath, and let records dry fully before playing. Don't put shellac 78s through it with this fluid.
