CleenU product solution
Aquarium Glass Cleaner
Ammonia- and phosphate-free · Exterior only · Private label
Fingerprints, water spots, and white mineral lines on the outside of your tank, like watching fish through fog? Mist a microfiber cloth, wipe the outside glass, and buff with a dry cloth. No ammonia, phosphates, or surfactant residue. Factory-direct private label.
- Most glass cleaners contain ammonia and surfactants, and overspray or a damp cloth can carry them into the water, affecting fish and plants, while phosphates feed algae. This cleaner uses deionized water and low-strength isopropyl, with no ammonia, phosphates, or surfactant residue, to clean prints, spots, and mineral lines off the outside and dry streak-free.
- This is for the outside of the tank only and must never enter it. Mist the cloth rather than spraying at the tank so no droplets drift into the opening. Use only soft microfiber on acrylic, never paper towels or rough cloths, and go over salt creep and heavy mineral lines a few times. Use an algae scraper for the inside glass.

How it works
Why no ammonia or phosphates
Ammonia forms ammonium and free ammonia in water, and free ammonia irritates fish gills; phosphate is a limiting nutrient for algae and can trigger blooms; surfactants lower surface tension and can affect gills and plants. This formula uses only deionized water and low-strength isopropyl to dissolve oil and spots, and the alcohol evaporates fast without residue to minimize any effect on the tank.
- Mist a microfiber cloth
- Wipe the outside
- Dissolve prints and spots
- Evaporates fast
- Buff dry

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
Find practical answers about Aquarium Glass Cleaner, private label, samples, MOQ, documents, and delivery.
Product, use, and procurement
Can I use regular glass cleaner on an aquarium?
We don't recommend it. Most contain ammonia and surfactants that harm fish if overspray or drips get in. Use an ammonia-free cleaner on a cloth.
Can it clean algae inside the tank?
No. Use an algae scraper or magnetic cleaner inside; no cleaner should ever go into the tank.
How fast can we get samples and a first order?
Free samples ship in 3–5 days. MOQ is 500 bottles, and production is scheduled once packaging and labels are approved.
Product usage questions
How do I use it?
Spray a microfiber cloth (never toward the tank), wipe the outside glass, and buff dry.
When shouldn't I use it?
Exterior use only, never inside the tank; use only a soft cloth on acrylic to avoid scratches.
What if some drips into the tank?
For a small amount, do a partial water change; always mist the cloth to avoid it.
Will it remove salt creep on the rim?
Yes, with a few passes; lay a damp cloth on heavy buildup first, then wipe.
Can I use it on lights and lids?
Lid exteriors, yes; for lights, power off and mist the cloth for the housing only.
Can I use it on saltwater tanks?
Yes, on the outside glass. Wipe salt off with a damp cloth first, then use the cleaner.
Can I use it on rimless planted tanks?
Yes. Mist a cloth and wipe the outside, keeping overspray away from the open top.
Can I use it on tank stands and cabinets?
Yes. Wipe the exterior via a misted cloth.
How often should I wipe the outside?
When prints or spots appear, usually weekly.
Will it affect aquarium plants?
Used outside the tank via a misted cloth, it won't reach the plants.
How do I make my aquarium glass clear again?
First find out which side the haze is on. Outside spots, prints, and salt creep come off with CleenU Aquarium Glass Cleaner sprayed onto a microfiber cloth, then buffed dry. Film on the inside needs an algae scraper or magnetic cleaner, because no cleaner should go into the tank.
Can I use it to clean a new or used tank before setup?
Only on the outside. Wipe the exterior glass, lid, and stand with a misted cloth, and keep the product away from the inside of the tank. Clean the interior with tools, not cleaners.
