CleenU product solution
Faucet & Sink Scale Remover
Dissolves hard scale · Soak aerators · Private label
Crusty white scale around the faucet base and a thin, split stream? Spray, wait 5–10 minutes, and brush it off; soak aerators and shower heads 1:1 in water for 15–30 minutes to open the holes and restore flow. Private label from 500 bottles.
- Aerator screens and shower-head holes are fractions of a millimeter wide. Each time water dries there, a little calcium and magnesium is left at the edge, and within months holes are half blocked, so flow thins, splits, or sprays sideways. Remove the aerator or head, soak it in a 1:1 solution for 15 to 30 minutes, brush lightly once the scale dissolves, rinse, and refit, and the flow comes straight back.
- Water pools at the faucet base and basin rim, building scale layer by layer into a hard crust, often yellowed by soap scum. Spray, wait 5 to 10 minutes, and you’ll see fine bubbles rising from the crust. Once it softens, scrub with an old toothbrush and rinse. Dry stainless sinks afterward so they don’t spot.

Before & after
Before and after (use illustration)
Before: the removed aerator mesh is packed with white scale, most holes are blocked, and the faucet stream is thin and split. After: soaked 20 minutes at 1:1, brushed, and rinsed, the mesh is clear and, once refitted, the stream is round and steady again.
- Before: the aerator screen is crusted over and most holes are blocked
- After: soaked and brushed, the screen is open again
- Reinstalled, the stream is full and steady

How it works
How Scale Dissolves and Holes Clear
Faucet and sink scale is mostly calcium carbonate with some magnesium carbonate and soap scum. Hydrogen ions react with carbonate to release carbon dioxide (the fizz) and form soluble calcium salts, loosening the crust from the surface inward. For small openings like aerators and shower heads, soaking lets the solution reach the holes from every side and dissolve scale on the walls. The inhibitor limits acid attack on chrome and stainless, which are unaffected once rinsed.
- Acid dissolves carbonate
- CO₂ fizz
- Crust softens
- Brush and rinse
- Holes open

Where Faucet & Sink Scale Remover stands out
Weak or Sideways Flow Means Scale Is Blocking the Outlet
Aerator screens and shower-head holes are fractions of a millimeter wide.
The Ring at the Faucet Base: Spray and Wait 10 Minutes
Water pools at the faucet base and basin rim, building scale layer by layer into a hard crust, often yellowed by soap scum. Spray, wait 5 to 10 minutes, and you’ll see fine bubbles rising from the crust. Once it softens, scrub with an old toothbrush and rinse. Dry stainless sinks afterward so they don’t spot.

Why choose CleenU for Faucet & Sink Scale Remover?
From product positioning and samples to packaging and repeat supply, CleenU supports OEM/ODM projects built around Faucet & Sink Scale Remover.
Acid strength set by water hardness
Hard-water markets build thicker scale and need more dissolving power, which is harder on fixtures. We balance it with inhibitors and acid selection.
Spray plus soak bag
The spray handles faucet bases and sinks; a shower-head soak bag lets users soak without removing the head.
Sample reviews with clear criteria
Review samples on your scaled aerators, shower heads, and chrome samples against clear points: descaling speed, hole clearance after soaking, and effect on chrome and stainless.
Mostly unscented
Acid descalers are usually unscented, with an optional light fresh note.
Labels and documents
We supply bilingual labels, SDS/MSDS, TDS, and batch COAs, with no-marble, don’t-soak-coated-fixtures, wear-gloves, and no-bleach warnings on the label, and can arrange third-party testing for your market.
Consistent supply and reorders
Each batch is retained and ships with a COA, so reorders match in color, scent, and feel.

How to use
My faucet flow is weak and uneven. What do I do?
Usually the aerator is blocked with scale. Unscrew it, soak in a 1:1 solution for 15 to 30 minutes, brush, rinse, and refit.
Can it remove the hard yellow-white ring at the faucet base?
Yes. Spray, wait 10 minutes until it fizzes, scrub with an old toothbrush, and the crust comes off in flakes. Rinse and dry; repeat on very thick buildup.
Can I use it on a marble or cultured-marble basin?
No. Marble and most cultured marble contain calcium carbonate and will etch along with the scale. Use a neutral cleaner on the basin and treat the faucet with a dampened cloth so nothing runs onto it.
How do I descale a kitchen faucet spray head?
Unscrew the spray head or aerator and soak it in a 1:1 dilution for 15 to 30 minutes, then brush the nozzles and rinse. For the faucet body and base, spray the scale, wait 5 minutes (10 for thick buildup), scrub with a soft brush, rinse, and dry. Don't soak gold, matte black, or brass parts.
What's the best way to remove scale from a ceramic bathroom sink?
Spray it directly on the scale, wait 5 minutes (10 for heavy rings), wipe with a soft sponge, then rinse and dry. The acid dissolves the mineral scale hard water leaves behind, and ceramic basins are within its intended use. Skip marble, limestone, and cultured-marble basins—they etch.
Surfaces and common questions
Can I soak the aerator from a gold faucet?
The aerator insert is usually plastic or chrome, so yes. Don’t soak gold or matte black coated housings; wipe them briefly with a dampened cloth and rinse right away.
How is this different from vinegar?
Vinegar works, but slowly; thick scale can take hours or overnight, and it smells. This works in 5 to 30 minutes and includes an inhibitor to protect metal.
What precautions should I take?
Wear gloves, ventilate, and keep it out of your eyes; rinse skin with water if splashed. Never use it with bleach.
What if I can’t remove the aerator?
Fill a plastic bag with the 1:1 solution, slip it over the spout, secure it with a rubber band, and soak 20–30 minutes. Brush the holes and run water to flush. Don’t force it with a wrench on the plated finish.
Can it remove white scale rings in a stainless sink?
Yes. Spray the scale, wait 5 minutes, wipe with a soft cloth or sponge along the grain, rinse, and dry. Skip steel wool—it scratches.
The shower head scale is thick and one soak isn’t enough.
Soak 30 minutes, scrub off what’s loose with a toothbrush, rinse, and soak again in fresh solution. Two or three rounds are normal for heavy crust—don’t leave it soaking for hours.
Can I use it on a tub faucet?
Yes, on chrome spouts. Spray the scale, wait 5 to 10 minutes, scrub with an old toothbrush, rinse, and dry. Avoid gold, matte black, and other coated finishes, and keep it off natural stone surrounds.
Buying and private label
What should we decide first for a private-label faucet & sink scale remover?
Three things: household retail or property and hotel maintenance; spray, soak pack, or both; and which market’s acid-product warnings apply. Descalers are a staple in hard-water markets across much of Europe and North America.
What are the sample, MOQ, and lead-time terms?
Free samples are usually ready in 3–5 days. Standard MOQ is 500 bottles, and bulk orders are scheduled after packaging and labels are approved.
What can be customized?
All of it: formula direction, scent, fill size (500 mL spray, 1 L refill, and more), mist or foam trigger, label design and language, and ecommerce bundles with a shower-head soak bag and detail brush.
Can we test samples first?
Yes, we ship samples first. Test them on scaled aerators, shower heads, and chrome samples like the ones your customers handle, and record descaling speed, hole clearance after soaking, and effect on chrome and stainless. That tells you more than a before-and-after photo.
Which documents can you provide?
We provide SDS/MSDS, a TDS, and batch COAs, plus bilingual label content for your target market. They aren’t posted publicly; we send them per project on inquiry.
How is private-label pricing quoted?
Pricing is tiered by packaging, trigger or cap, label, and order quantity, starting at the 500-bottle MOQ. Send your target quantity, fill size, and packaging needs, and we’ll quote unit prices by volume tier with sample and lead-time details.
