Tune acidity and scent to your market's water hardness
Kitchen Sink & Faucet Cleaning Solution
The right kitchen faucet cleaner depends on how thick the scale is and what it sits on. White, crusty buildup in the spout and aerator needs an acidic descaler to dissolve it, water spots and soap film on chrome shine up with a mild acid fixture cleaner, and water marks and fingerprints on a stainless sink only need a near-neutral polish. Strong acids tend to streak stainless. CleenU matches three ready-to-use cleaners to the job and makes private-label and OEM/ODM descalers and sink cleaners for brands, distributors, and online sellers.

Match the Cleaner to the Scale
For crusty white scale on the spout, base, and aerator, spray an acidic descaler, wait 5 minutes (10 for heavy buildup), scrub with a soft brush, and rinse; soak the removed aerator 15–30 minutes in a 1:1 mix with water. For water spots and soap film on chrome, spray a mild acid fixture cleaner, wait 1–2 minutes, wipe, rinse, and dry right away. For water marks and fingerprints on a stainless sink, wipe a near-neutral stainless polish with the grain. Keep acidic products off marble counters and coated fixtures, and spot-test first.
- Scale Level: Thick spout scale, thin spots on chrome, and stainless sink water marks each call for a different product.
- How It Works: Acids dissolve calcium and magnesium scale, surfactants lift soap film, and clean water rinses it away.
- How to Use: Ready to use. Heavy scale sits 5–10 minutes before scrubbing; light spots 1–2 minutes before wiping. Rinse and dry.
- Surfaces: Fine on chrome, stainless, and ceramic; keep acids off marble counters and coated fixtures.
- Food-Prep Areas: Rinse the sink with clean water before dishes and food go back in.

Where to Use It
Stainless Sinks
Water marks and fingerprints: wipe with the Stainless Steel Cleaner & Polish along the grain. White scale in the basin: descale, wait, scrub, and rinse.
Spouts & Aerators
Crusty white scale: spray the Faucet & Sink Scale Remover and wait 5–10 minutes, or soak the removed aerator 15–30 minutes.
Chrome Faucets
Water spots and soap film: spray the Faucet & Fixture Cleaner, wait 1–2 minutes, wipe, rinse, and dry right away.
Sink Surround
When descaling the faucet base, cover marble counters, spray the descaler onto a cloth, and wipe off any splashes immediately.
Spot-test natural stone, coated, and wood surfaces in a hidden area first.
When Not to Use It
- Marble, cultured marble, and stone basins: acidic descalers etch stone and leave white marks. Use a neutral stone cleaner and keep descaler from splashing onto the counter.
- PVD, brushed gold, matte black, and painted fixtures: never soak coated fixtures, and spot-test a mild acid cleaner first to make sure the color holds.
- Chlorine bleach and other cleaners: acidic descalers mixed with chlorine bleach release harmful gas. Use one product at a time.
- Using a descaler to also cut grease and food residue in the sink: scale and grease need different chemistry, so use a kitchen degreaser for grease.

Compare the Options
Three common sink and faucet jobs, compared by product, pH, foam, and method. The thicker the scale, the more acid and dwell time it needs; thin spots on chrome only need a mild acid, and water marks on a stainless sink only need a near-neutral polish wiped with the grain.
| Cleaning Job | Where | Strength | Foam | Method |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Spout & Aerator Scale | Faucet spouts, bases, and aerators | Acidic, pH 1.5–3.0 | Low | Wait 5–10 minutes, scrub, and rinse |
| Chrome Faucet Care | Chrome faucets, showerheads, and fixtures | Mildly acidic, pH 3.0–4.5 | Low | Wait 1–2 minutes, wipe, and dry |
| Stainless Sinks | Stainless sinks and faucet surrounds | Near-neutral, pH 7.0–8.5 | Low | Spray the cloth, wipe with the grain, rinse, and dry |
How to Use It
- Check the Surface
Tell standard chrome, coated fixtures, stainless, and nearby marble apart before you pick a product.
- Spot-Test
Try a little on coated fixtures in a hidden area and make sure the color and shine hold.
- Clean as Directed
Match dwell time to the scale, use one product at a time, and never mix with chlorine bleach.
- Rinse and Dry
Rinse with clean water, dry right away, and check that the flow is even and no white marks remain.
Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about how to use it, which surfaces are safe, and private-label orders.
Use & Cleaning
How do you remove limescale from a faucet aerator?
Unscrew the aerator and soak it 15–30 minutes in a 1:1 mix of the faucet and sink scale remover and water, then rinse and reinstall. For scale on the spout and base, spray, wait 5 minutes (10 for heavy buildup), scrub with a soft brush, rinse, and dry.
How do you get water spots off a stainless sink?
Spray the stainless steel cleaner and polish onto a microfiber cloth, wipe off water marks and fingerprints with the grain, then buff dry the same way. Drying the sink after each use cuts down on spots a lot.
Is descaler safe on chrome faucets?
On standard chrome, yes. Use the mild acid fixture cleaner for everyday spots and soap film (wait 1–2 minutes, then wipe), and the acidic descaler only for thick spout scale. Rinse and dry right after either one. Spot-test PVD, matte black, and other coated finishes, and never soak them.
Surfaces & Safety
What should I watch for if my sink sits in a marble counter?
Acidic descalers etch marble and leave white marks. Cover the counter with a cloth, spray the descaler onto a cloth rather than the faucet, and wipe any splash off the stone right away with clean water.
Can I use descaler together with bleach?
No. Acidic descalers mixed with chlorine bleach release harmful gas. Use one product at a time and rinse with clean water before switching.
Do I need to rinse the sink after descaling?
Yes. A sink is a food-contact area, so rinse it with clean water after descaling or polishing before dishes and food go back in.
Private Label & Sourcing
What should I prepare before asking about a private-label descaler?
Settle four things: how hard the water is in your market (it sets the acid level), kitchen or bathroom focus, spray or soak format, and bottle size and label language. Then we'll arrange free samples, usually ready in 3–5 days.
What documents come with an OEM descaler?
We provide SDS/MSDS, TDS, and batch COA, and prepare acid warning statements and label copy for your target market. These documents aren't posted for download; we send them on request after you inquire.
What are the MOQ and lead time for sink and faucet cleaners?
Standard projects start at 500 bottles. Free samples are usually ready in 3–5 days, and production is scheduled after packaging and labels are approved.

Launching a Descaler or Sink Cleaner? Start with Free Samples
Sink and faucet cleaning comes down to how thick the scale is and what it sits on: an acidic descaler for crusty spouts and aerators, a mild acid fixture cleaner for spots and soap film on chrome, and a near-neutral polish wiped with the grain for stainless sinks. Keep acids off marble counters and coated fixtures. If you're launching your own descaler or sink cleaner, CleenU can start from these three formulas, with free samples first and a 500-bottle MOQ.
