CleenU product solution
Grout Cleaner & Restorer
Active oxygen · Acid-free · Private label
Clean tile, dark grout? Foam the lines, wait 5–10 minutes, scrub along the joint with a grout brush, and rinse; stains set deep in the pores come out and the grout heads back to its original color. Acid-free, factory-direct private label.
- Cement grout is full of tiny pores. Soap scum, body oil, and kitchen grease soak in, and mildew leaves dark stains on the damp grime. A cloth only reaches the surface, which is why tile shines while grout stays dark. This foam clings to the joint long enough for active oxygen and surfactants to work into the pores, and the grout brush pulls the dirt back out.
- Acid dissolves cement grout. One acid wash looks brighter, but you've etched off a layer, leaving a rougher, more porous surface that gets dirty faster. Mild alkali and active oxygen clean and brighten without dissolving the grout itself, so it's safe on premium and epoxy grout and for repeated cleaning.

Before & after
Before and after (illustration)
Before: years-old gray shower floor grout has gone dark with black mildew dots, even though the tile is clean. After: foamed, left 8 minutes, brushed, and rinsed, the grout is clearly lighter and closer to its original color, and the dots have faded.
- Before: dark grout with black dots
- After brushing and rinsing: close to original color
- Mildew marks noticeably faded

How it works
How stains come out of grout
Grout grime is a mix of soap scum (calcium fatty acid salts), body oil, cooking grease, and mildew pigment. Hydrogen peroxide releases active oxygen that oxidizes mildew and organic pigment, mild alkaline builders saponify oils, and nonionic surfactants disperse what loosens. The foam extends contact time, the brush scrubs it out of the pores, and water carries it away.
- Foam the grout lines
- Active oxygen enters the pores
- Fades stains, saponifies oils
- Scrub along the joint
- Rinse clean

Where Grout Cleaner & Restorer stands out
Grout gets dirty inside the pores
Cement grout is full of tiny pores.
Why we keep it acid-free
Acid dissolves cement grout. One acid wash looks brighter, but you've etched off a layer, leaving a rougher, more porous surface that gets dirty faster. Mild alkali and active oxygen clean and brighten without dissolving the grout itself, so it's safe on premium and epoxy grout and for repeated cleaning.

Product, use, and procurement
Why won't my grout come clean?
Grout is full of tiny pores, and soap scum, oil, grease, and mildew stains sit inside them. A cloth only reaches the surface. Let the foam sit a few minutes to soak in, then scrub the dirt out with a grout brush.
Why not use an acid cleaner on grout?
Acid dissolves cement grout. It looks brighter after one wash, but you've etched away a layer, and rougher grout gets dirty faster. This formula is mildly alkaline with active oxygen, so it cleans without eating the grout.
Does it work on epoxy and premium grout?
Yes. Those surfaces are denser, so dirt mostly sits on top and brushes off after a short soak. Spot-test colored or metallic grout first.
What should we decide first for a private-label grout cleaner?
Applicator, bundle, and room. A foaming trigger or a squeeze bottle with a built-in brush (the brush bottle sells itself on the shelf), solo or with a grout brush (bundles convert better online), and bathroom or kitchen as the lead use, which drives the packaging art.
How fast can we get samples and a first order?
Free samples ship in 3–5 days. MOQ is 500 bottles, and production is scheduled once packaging and labels are approved.
Is grout cleaner toxic?
Treat it like any household cleaner: follow the label, wear gloves, and keep the room ventilated. This formula is mildly alkaline with active oxygen, which can dry out skin with long contact. Never mix it with acidic or chlorine-based toilet cleaners, and store it away from kids and pets.
Can grout be restored without regrouting?
Often, yes. Deep clean first and you'll see which lines really need replacing. Grout that looks worn is frequently just packed with soap scum and mildew stains in its pores. Lines that stay dark, crumble, or crack after cleaning are the ones to regrout, then seal once dry.
Product usage questions
Are the black spots in my grout mildew, and will they come out?
Mostly, yes. Active oxygen fades the dark marks mildew leaves behind, and surface stains lighten noticeably in one or two passes. Mildew that has grown deep into old grout can leave color behind; at that point, regrouting is the fix.
How often should I clean grout?
In the shower, a quick foam every one to two weeks keeps buildup from setting in, so you won't need to scrub hard. Give neglected grout one deep clean first.
Can I use it on grout between marble tiles?
Yes, but keep it from sitting on the marble, and rinse or wipe promptly. Spot-test polished marble first.
Should I wear gloves?
Yes. Active oxygen can dry out and whiten skin with long contact. Keep the room ventilated, and don't mix it with acidic or bleach-based toilet cleaners.
How do I keep grout clean longer?
Let it dry fully after cleaning and apply a grout sealer. Squeegee the walls and floor after showers so water doesn't sit in the joints.
Can I use it on wall tile grout?
Yes. Spray, let it sit, and scrub with a detail brush; work vertical lines from the bottom up to avoid streaks.
How soon can the area get wet?
Right after rinsing; if you're applying grout sealer, let the lines dry fully first.
How do I clean grout without damaging it?
Skip acid cleaners and wire brushes, and let a mild cleaner do the work. Acid dissolves cement grout, and harsh scrubbing roughens it so it gets dirty faster. Foam this mildly alkaline, active-oxygen cleaner onto the lines, wait a few minutes, then scrub with a grout brush and rinse.
OEM/ODM customization questions
What can we customize?
Formula direction, scent, fill size (500 mL foaming spray, 1 L refill, and more), trigger or brush-head bottle, label design and language, and bundles with a grout brush or grout sealer.
How should we test samples?
Run side-by-side sections on old, darkened shower floor grout, and record how many scrub passes it takes, how much color comes back, any effect on colored grout, and whether the grout surface roughens. That tells you more than a before-and-after photo.
What paperwork comes with a private-label order?
Documents such as SDS/MSDS, TDS, COA, and label copy for your target market are prepared per project. We confirm which ones your order includes when we quote.
Launching your own grout cleaner?
Send us your market, trigger or brush-head bottle, whether to include a grout brush, and estimated volume. We'll build it out with you.
