CleenU product solution
Hard Water Stain Remover
Clinging acid gel · Dissolves hard water scale · Private label
Cloudy shower doors and white spots that won't wipe off? Coat dry glass with gel, wait 3–5 minutes, scrub with a non-scratch sponge, rinse, squeegee, and buff for clear glass again. Factory-direct private label.
- Every shower leaves droplets that evaporate and leave their minerals behind as white spots. Layer after layer, plus soap scum, and the door looks frosted no matter how much glass cleaner you use. It's mineral deposit, and it takes acid to dissolve.
- Shower doors and walls are vertical, so liquids run off before the acid can work and can drip onto marble below. A gel stays on the glass long enough and is far less likely to drip. After cleaning, squeegee daily and apply a glass water repellent, and buildup drops noticeably.

Before & after
Before and after (illustration)
Before: a shower door after three years of hard water is covered in white spots on the lower half and looks frosted. After: coated, left 4 minutes, scrubbed, rinsed, and squeegeed, the glass is clear and the spots are essentially gone.
- Before: white spots, frosted lower half
- After gel, scrub, rinse: clear glass
- Spots essentially gone

How it works
How glass scale dissolves
Shower glass scale is mostly calcium and magnesium carbonate plus silicate deposits, often mixed with soap scum (calcium fatty acid salts). Hydrogen ions from lactic and citric acid dissolve the carbonates and citrate chelates the minerals, low-foam surfactants help disperse the scum, thickeners keep the gel on vertical glass longer, and sponge action plus rinsing carry it away.
- Coat dry glass with gel
- Acid dissolves carbonates
- Wait 3–5 minutes
- Scrub in circles
- Rinse, squeegee, buff

Usage guidance
Use guidance
- Coat dry glass with gel and wait 3–5 minutes.
- Scrub in circles with a non-scratch sponge; repeat for heavy buildup.

Product, use, and procurement
What are the white spots on my shower glass?
When water droplets evaporate, the calcium and magnesium stay behind as white spots. Over time they stack into a cloudy film, and soap scum makes it worse. It's mineral buildup, so it takes acid to dissolve it; regular glass cleaner won't.
Why a gel?
Shower doors and walls are vertical, so liquids run off before the acid can work. A gel clings to the glass long enough to dissolve the scale and doesn't drip onto stone floors.
How is this different from a tile descaler or faucet descaler?
Tile descalers are built for large wall areas, and faucet descalers for fixtures. This one targets hard water spots on glass shower doors, glass panels, and mirrors, with a gel thickness and dwell time designed for vertical glass.
What should we decide first for a private-label hard water stain remover?
Applicator, kit, and market. A gel spray or a squeeze bottle with a sponge head; whether to pair it with a glass water repellent (protection determines how long glass stays clear); and shower glass or car glass water spots, since they sell through different channels.
How fast can we get samples and a first order?
Free samples ship in 3–5 days. MOQ is 500 bottles, and production is scheduled once packaging and labels are approved.
What is a hard water stain remover, and when do I need one?
It's an acidic cleaner for the white mineral spots and cloudy film that regular glass cleaner leaves behind. Reach for it when a glass-cleaner wipe doesn't clear the haze. CleenU's version is a gel, so it clings to vertical shower glass long enough for the acid to dissolve calcium and magnesium deposits instead of running off.
Product usage questions
How do I use it?
Coat dry glass with gel, wait 3–5 minutes, scrub in circles with a non-scratch sponge, rinse, squeegee, and buff dry. Repeat for heavy buildup.
What shouldn't I use it on?
Marble, limestone, other natural stone, and cement grout are acid-sensitive, so keep drips off stone floors. Avoid brass and thinly plated fixtures too.
How do I keep the spots from coming back?
Squeegee the glass after every shower; no standing water, no scale. Apply a glass water repellent after cleaning so water beads off, and buildup drops noticeably.
Do I need gloves?
Yes. It's acidic, so wear gloves, ventilate the bathroom, and never mix it with chlorine cleaners.
Can I use it on the toilet waterline?
Yes. Lower the water level, apply gel, let it sit, and scrub; use toilet cleaner for heavy urine scale.
Does it work on hard water spots on car glass?
Test a small area of exterior glass and rinse well, keeping it off paint and rubber seals.
How often should I use it?
Weekly upkeep keeps scale from building up thick.
How do I remove stubborn hard water stains from shower glass?
Do two passes instead of scrubbing harder. Years of buildup form in layers, and each application mostly dissolves the top one. Coat dry glass with the gel, wait 3–5 minutes, scrub in circles with a non-scratch sponge, rinse, and squeegee; then repeat on what's left. Skip steel wool and razor scraping.
OEM/ODM customization questions
What can we customize?
Formula direction and acid strength, gel thickness, fill size (500 mL gel spray, sponge-head squeeze bottle, and more), label design and language, and kits with a glass water repellent and squeegee.
How should we test samples?
Test side-by-side sections of shower glass with years of hard water, and record gel cling time, number of passes, clarity afterward, and any effect on seals and fixtures. That tells you more than a before-and-after photo.
What paperwork comes with a private-label order?
Documents such as SDS/MSDS, TDS, COA, and label copy for your target market are prepared per project. We confirm which ones your order includes when we quote.
