CleenU product solution
Sneaker & Shoe Cleaner
pH-neutral, no bleach · Every color · Private label
Dirty sneakers you won't soak, colors you don't want to fade? Pump the neutral foam, soft brush on uppers, stiff brush on soles, wipe with microfiber, and air-dry in shade. Safe on black, colored, and knit. Factory-direct private label.
- Plenty of sneaker cleaners lean on bleaching agents that work on white canvas but blotch black and colorways. This is a neutral foam with no bleach: surfactants pull dirt and oil out of the fibers into the lather, so black, colored, and mixed-color pairs can all share one bottle.
- Mesh and knit fuzz easily, so scrub in light circles with the soft brush and blot with microfiber. Smooth leather gets a light brush and a wipe. Grit packed into rubber grooves needs the stiff brush. The foam uses little water, so shoes are wearable in about an hour without soaked insoles or loosened glue.

Before & after
Before and after (illustration)
Before: gray-blue knit runners with mud spots and sweat-darkened uppers, white midsoles caked with grit. After: soft brush on the uppers, stiff brush on the soles, wiped and dried, the color is bright again with no fuzzing and clean midsole edges.
- Before: muddy, sweat-darkened knit, gritty soles
- After: bright uppers, no fuzzing
- Clean midsole edges

How it works
How sneaker grime comes off
Sneaker soil includes particulate dirt (mud, dust), oily soil (sweat, skin oil, prints), and grit packed into rubber grooves. Mild nonionic and amphoteric surfactants wet the fibers and surround particles and oil, the brushes move them into the foam, the neutral system leaves dyes alone, and microfiber lifts foam and dirt away together.
- Knock off dirt, remove laces
- Pump neutral foam
- Soft brush uppers, stiff brush soles
- Blot with microfiber
- Stuff and dry in shade

Usage guidance

Product, use, and procurement
How is this different from a white shoe cleaner?
White shoe cleaners add a little active oxygen to fade stains on white canvas, which isn't ideal on dark or colored uppers. This sneaker cleaner is pH-neutral with no bleaching agents, so black, colored, mixed-color, and knit uppers are all fair game.
Can I clean knit uppers?
Yes, with a soft brush and a light hand. Knit fibers fuzz easily, so work the foam in small circles and blot with a microfiber towel instead of scrubbing.
Why not just toss sneakers in the washer?
Soaking saturates the insole, midsole glue, and padding, so they dry slowly and can come unglued, warp, or start to smell. Spot cleaning with foam uses little water, and the shoes are wearable in about an hour.
What should we decide first for a private-label sneaker cleaner?
Kit, audience, and size. A bottle alone or a cleaner, soft brush, stiff brush, and microfiber towel kit (kits dominate this category), sneakerheads or everyday families, and a 4 oz travel size or an 8 oz home size.
How fast can we get samples and a first order?
Free samples ship in 3–5 days. MOQ is 500 bottles, and production is scheduled once packaging and labels are approved.
Product usage questions
How do I clean muddy or stained midsoles?
Use the stiff brush, add extra foam, let it sit a minute, scrub back and forth, and wipe. Yellowing from aged rubber won't scrub out.
Can I use it on suede sneakers?
We don't recommend it. Suede and nubuck stiffen and water-spot when wet; dry-clean them with a suede eraser and brush.
What about smelly insides?
Pull the insoles and wash them separately, use a shoe deodorizer spray inside, and let the shoes air out fully before wearing.
How should I dry them?
Stuff them with paper to soak up moisture and hold the shape, and leave them somewhere shaded and airy. Skip the sun and the radiator.
What if shoes yellow after cleaning?
Usually from incomplete rinsing or sun-drying; rinse well, stuff with paper, dry in the shade, and re-scrub yellow spots.
Can I wash insoles and laces?
Yes. Scrub insoles, rinse, and air-dry; soak and rub laces in diluted solution.
How often should I clean sneakers?
Every 2–4 weeks for daily pairs, and the same day after muddy workouts.
How do I spot clean sneakers by hand?
Dry-brush, foam, scrub, blot. Brush off loose dirt first. Work the foam into the stain with a soft brush in small circles, then blot with a damp microfiber cloth. On a stubborn spot, repeat the foam and scrub a couple of times instead of soaking the whole shoe.
Can I use it on canvas and cloth sneakers?
Yes. Canvas and cloth trap dirt in the weave, so use a soft brush and let the foam sit for about a minute before you scrub. Blot instead of wringing, then stuff the shoes with paper to dry. If you want to brighten dingy white canvas, a white shoe cleaner does that job better.
How do I keep sneakers clean between washes?
Wipe them down after you wear them, while the dirt is still loose. Fresh mud and spills come off with a damp cloth and a little foam. Once they dry and get ground in, you're looking at a full scrub. Store shoes out of direct sun so the soles yellow more slowly.
OEM/ODM customization questions
What can we customize?
Formula direction, scent, fill size (4 oz, 8 oz foam bottles, and more), soft and stiff brushes, microfiber towels, a carry case, and label design and language.
How should we test samples?
Use worn black, colored, knit, and leather sneakers, clean one shoe of each pair, and record dirt removal, any color bleed or fuzzing, and drying time. That tells you more than a before-and-after photo.
What paperwork comes with a private-label order?
Documents such as SDS/MSDS, TDS, COA, and label copy for your target market are prepared per project. We confirm which ones your order includes when we quote.
