Yoga Mat Cleaner
No-rinse, quick-dry · Restores grip · Private label
Yoga mat getting slipperier and smellier? After practice, mist 4–6 times, wipe with microfiber, and let it dry flat 5–10 minutes before rolling, and the grip comes back. Factory-direct private label.
- Sweat and skin oil film over the surface and fill in the grip texture, so hands slide in downward dog, the mat smells, and rolling it up traps the funk. Mild surfactants lift that film, a little alcohol helps it flash off, and in a few minutes the mat is dry with its grip back.
- PVC and TPE mats can be misted after every session; keep natural rubber out of long sun, which ages and tackifies it; test premium PU tops in a corner first. Never soak a mat, since it holds water and can warp or delaminate. Dry flat before rolling to avoid trapped odor.

Before & after
Before and after (illustration)
Before: a TPE mat after three months, shiny and slick where hands and feet go, with a sweat smell. After: misted six times, wiped with microfiber, and dried flat 8 minutes, the surface is matte again, grip is clearly better, and the smell is gone.
- Before: shiny, slick, sweaty smell
- Misted, wiped, dried flat 8 minutes
- Matte surface, better grip

How it works
How the oily film comes off
Mat film is sweat salts, skin oil, and skincare residue packed into the grip texture, lowering friction. Mild nonionic surfactants emulsify skin and skincare oils, water dissolves sweat salts, and microfiber carries the emulsion away; a little alcohol lowers surface tension and speeds evaporation so the original texture grips again.
- Mist 4–6 times after practice
- Emulsifies oil and sweat
- Wipe with microfiber
- Alcohol speeds drying
- Dry flat, then roll

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
Find practical answers about Yoga Mat Cleaner, private label, samples, MOQ, documents, and delivery.
Product, use, and procurement
Why is my yoga mat getting slippery?
Sweat and skin oil film over the surface and fill in the grip texture. Regular cleaning removes the film and restores traction.
Can I wash my mat in water?
We don't recommend soaking, especially PU and natural rubber, which hold water, dry slowly, and can warp or delaminate. Spray and wipe instead.
How fast can we get samples and a first order?
Free samples ship in 3–5 days. MOQ is 500 bottles, and production is scheduled once packaging and labels are approved.
Product usage questions
How do I use it?
After practice, mist the mat 4–6 times, wipe with microfiber, and let it dry flat 5–10 minutes before rolling.
When shouldn't I use it?
Keep natural rubber out of long sun exposure, don't soak mats, and spot-test PU surfaces first.
Can I use it on blocks and straps?
Yes. Mist and dry foam and cork blocks; mist straps and hand-rinse them.
My new mat smells like rubber. Will this fix it?
That smell comes from the material and fades after a few days unrolled somewhere airy; the spray helps but won't fully remove it.
Can I use it every day?
Yes. It's gentle, and wiping after each session keeps the mat clean and grippy.
How often should studios clean shared mats?
A quick mist and wipe after each member, plus a full clean at closing.
Can I use it on natural rubber mats?
Yes, use as directed and test a corner first. Mist a cloth and wipe; don't soak or sun-dry.
How soon can I use the mat?
It dries in minutes; use it once dry.
Can I use it on gym equipment?
On pads and grips, yes; Gym Equipment Cleaner suits machines better.
Is it scented?
Lightly, with an unscented option.
Can I use rubbing alcohol on my yoga mat?
We don't recommend it, especially on natural rubber and PU mats. Alcohol can dry out these surfaces and dull the grip over time. A mat cleaner made for the job removes sweat and skin oil with a light mist and a microfiber wipe; spot-test PU surfaces first.
How do I deep clean a really dirty yoga mat?
Make two passes instead of soaking it. Mist and wipe the whole mat, let it sit a moment, then mist and wipe again, focusing on the hand and foot zones where oil builds up. Clean both sides and let the mat dry flat before you roll it.
Does yoga mat spray disinfect the mat?
No. It's a cleaner, not a disinfectant. It lifts sweat, skin oil, and dust so the mat feels clean and grips again. To keep a mat from turning musty, always let it dry flat before rolling it up.
