Jewelry, Makeup Brush, Instrument & Vinyl Record Cleaning Solution

These personal items are delicate and cannot be washed the same way. Diamond and gold jewelry loses its skin-oil film in a near-neutral soak, silver and brass tarnish needs a mildly acidic polish, makeup brushes clean with a no-rinse spray, and instrument finishes and vinyl records are only ever wiped with a cloth that has been misted. We match five CleenU products to the material and the method, and build private-label lines for jewelry, beauty-tool, instrument-accessory and record-accessory brands, channels and cross-border sellers through OEM/ODM.

Jewelry, Brushes, Instruments and Records Are Cleaned by Material

For everyday jewelry, use Jewelry Cleaner: soak the pieces in the basket for 2–5 minutes, brush behind stones and prongs with the soft brush, rinse and pat dry, and never soak porous or oiled stones such as pearls, opals or emeralds. For tarnished silver, silver plate and uncoated brass or copper, use Silver & Brass Cleaner: rub a little on a soft cloth along the grain, rinse in warm water and dry right away. Makeup brushes take 2–3 mists over a tissue and a few swipes, never sprayed on the face. Instrument finishes and vinyl records both get the cleaner on the cloth first, never sprayed directly on the object. Use each product only on its own material and test an inconspicuous spot first.

  • Items: Jewelry and hard gemstones, silver and brass, makeup brushes, instrument finishes and vinyl records, chosen by material.
  • How It Works: A near-neutral soak loosens skin-oil film, a mildly acidic polish lifts silver tarnish, and misted-cloth wiping keeps liquid out of seams and grooves.
  • How to Use: Soak jewelry 2–5 minutes; wipe silver and brass with a soft cloth; mist brushes over a tissue; mist the cloth for instruments and records.
  • Materials to Avoid: Pearls, opals, emeralds, lacquered brass, open-pore instrument finishes and shellac records.
  • Finishing: Rinse and dry jewelry and silver, let records dry 1–2 minutes before playing, and dry brushes flat.

Where to Use It

Jewelry & Gemstones

Diamond, gold, platinum, K gold and hard-gemstone jewelry: soak in the basket 2–5 minutes, brush gently, rinse and dry.

Silver & Brass

Tarnish on sterling, plated silver and uncoated brass or copper: rub the polish along the grain, rinse in warm water and dry immediately.

Makeup Brushes

Synthetic and natural-hair brushes, eyeshadow brushes and puffs: mist a tissue 2–3 times and swipe until no color transfers.

Instruments & Records

Mist the cloth, wipe the finish and buff; for vinyl, mist a microfiber cloth and wipe in circles along the grooves.

Spot-test natural stone, coated, and wood surfaces in a hidden area first.

When Not to Use It

  • Pearls, opals, emeralds, turquoise, amber and coral: porous or oiled stones should not be soaked and need their own care method.
  • Lacquered brass and silver or brass set with gemstones: the polish is not for lacquered brass, and stones must be kept clear of it.
  • Satin open-pore finishes, fretboards, strings and piano keys: the instrument cleaner is for finished bodies, and piano keys need a dedicated key cleaner.
  • Shellac 78 rpm records and record center labels: the vinyl cleaner is not for shellac records and must not be sprayed on the label.

Compare the Options

The five items compared by product, pH, method and limits: jewelry takes an ammonia-free soak at pH 7.0–8.5, silver and brass a polish paste at pH 3.0–5.0, brushes an alcohol-containing no-rinse spray at pH 6.0–7.5, and instruments and records wipe-on products at pH 6.5–7.5. Only items that tolerate liquid are soaked; everything else is misted on the cloth.

How to Use It

  1. Check the Material

Confirm whether the item has porous stones, lacquered brass, an open-pore finish or a shellac record.

  2. Pick by Item

Use the product made for jewelry, silver, brushes, instruments or records; do not borrow.

  3. Test a Small Spot

On first use, test an inconspicuous spot and continue only if there is no color change or damage.

  4. Rinse and Dry

Rinse and dry jewelry and silver, let records dry before playing, and dry brushes flat.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about how to use it, which surfaces are safe, and private-label orders.

Use & Cleaning

How do I clean diamond and gold jewelry at home?

Use Jewelry Cleaner: soak the pieces in the basket for 2–5 minutes, brush behind stones and prongs with the included soft brush, rinse and pat dry. Have loose prongs repaired first and do not brush hard.

Will Jewelry Cleaner remove tarnish from silver?

No. Tarnish needs Silver & Brass Cleaner: rub a little on a soft cloth along the grain, rinse in warm water once the tarnish lifts and dry right away. Keep it off gemstones.

How often should makeup brushes be cleaned?

A quick clean after daily use works with Makeup Brush Cleaner: mist a tissue 2–3 times, swipe the brush and lay it flat to dry. Foundation brushes and sponges still benefit from a weekly warm-water wash.

Surfaces & Safety

Which gemstones should not be soaked?

Do not soak pearls, opals, emeralds, turquoise, amber or coral; they are porous or oiled and water can affect them. Ask a jeweler about any stone you are unsure of.

Can I spray Musical Instrument Cleaner & Polish straight onto the instrument?

No. Mist the cloth first, wipe along the body and keep spray away from pickups and sound holes. It is not for open-pore finishes, fretboards or strings, and piano keys need a dedicated key cleaner.

Is Vinyl Record Cleaner safe for records?

It is an alcohol-free, low-residue formula when used as directed: mist a microfiber cloth, wipe in circles along the grooves, avoid the center label, never wipe across the grooves, and do not use it on shellac 78s.

Private Label & Sourcing

What should I prepare before inquiring about private-label jewelry or instrument cleaner?

Settle four things: which item you clean, the volume and accessories such as basket, brush or cloth, whether you want a gift box or travel format, and the target market and label language. We then arrange free samples, usually ready in 3–5 days.

What can be customized in OEM for these products?

Scent, volume, bottle type, accessories, gift boxes, labels and e-commerce kits can be customized, and SDS, TDS and COA are available. These files are not public downloads and are sent on request.

What are the MOQ and lead time?

Standard projects start at 500 bottles, free samples are usually ready in 3–5 days, and production is scheduled after packaging and labels are approved.

Launching a Jewelry or Instrument Cleaner? Start with Free Samples

Cleaning personal items starts with getting the material right: a near-neutral ammonia-free soak for jewelry, a mildly acidic polish for silver and brass, a quick-dry spray for makeup brushes, and a misted cloth for instruments and records, with porous stones, lacquered brass and shellac records outside the scope. If you run a jewelry, beauty-tool, instrument-accessory or record-accessory brand and want a private-label cleaner, CleenU can start from these five formulas, with free samples first and 500 bottles as the minimum order.
