Adjust alkalinity, format, and scent for ovens, racks, or grills
Oven, Grill & BBQ Cleaning Solution
The right oven cleaner depends on where the grease is: carbon inside the oven, burnt-on residue on racks and griddles, brown film on the oven door glass, or charred buildup on BBQ grates. Each needs a different alkalinity, format, and dwell time. CleenU matches four ready-to-use cleaners to the job and makes private-label and OEM/ODM oven and grill cleaners for brands, distributors, and online sellers.

Match the Oven Cleaner to the Spot
For baked-on grease inside the oven, use a heavy-duty alkaline gel on a cold oven, wait 15–30 minutes, then scrape. For burnt racks, griddles, and stove grates, foam them, wait 10–20 minutes, and scrub. For brown film on oven door glass, spray cool glass, wait 5–10 minutes, and scrape at a low angle. For BBQ grates, spray once cool, wait 3–5 minutes, and brush along the bars. Keep these off aluminum, non-stick, and painted surfaces, and spot-test first.
- Where It Is: Oven interiors, racks and griddles, oven door glass, and outdoor grills each call for a different product.
- How It Works: Strong alkali softens heat-baked carbon, surfactants lift it off the surface, then you scrape, scrub, and rinse.
- How to Use: Ready to use, no dilution. Apply once cool, wait 3–30 minutes by spot, then scrape, scrub, and wipe clean.
- Surfaces: Fine on enamel, stainless steel, cast iron, and tempered glass; keep off aluminum, non-stick, and painted surfaces.
- Food-Contact Parts: Rinse grates and trays with clean water and dry; oil cast-iron griddles lightly afterward.

Where to Use It
Oven Interiors & Trays
Baked-on carbon on oven walls and trays: apply the Oven Cleaner & Degreaser gel to a cold oven, wait 15–30 minutes, and scrape with plastic.
Oven Door Glass
Brown film and burnt spots on the door glass: spray the Oven Glass Cleaner, wait 5–10 minutes, scrape at a low angle, and buff.
Racks & Stove Grates
Burnt residue on removable racks and stove grates: foam with the Multi-Purpose Oven & Grill Cleaner, wait 10–20 minutes, and scrub with a stiff brush.
BBQ Grills & Griddles
Char on BBQ grates: spray the BBQ Grill Cleaner, wait 3–5 minutes, and brush along the bars. Rinse and dry cast-iron griddles, then oil them.
Spot-test natural stone, coated, and wood surfaces in a hidden area first.
When Not to Use It
- Aluminum pans, non-stick bakeware, and aluminum parts: strong alkali darkens and corrodes aluminum and damages non-stick coatings, so use a neutral cleaner or one made for that material.
- Ovens, racks, and grills that are still hot: let them cool completely first. Sprayed on hot surfaces, the cleaner dries too fast and burns are more likely.
- Heating elements, fans, temperature probes, door seals, gas burners, and igniters: follow the appliance manual and never spray them directly.
- Using one oven cleaner on counters, windows, and the rest of the house: heavy-duty alkaline formulas are only for alkali-safe parts like ovens and racks. Use a kitchen or multi-purpose cleaner for everyday surfaces.

Compare the Options
Four common oven and grill jobs, compared by product, alkalinity, foam, and method. Oven walls get a clinging gel with the longest dwell time; removable racks and griddles get foam and a stiff brush; oven door glass gets the shortest dwell time and a scraper; outdoor grills get a liquid spray you brush and rinse off.

How to Use It
- Let It Cool
Clean ovens, racks, and grills only once fully cool; on hot surfaces the cleaner dries too fast.
- Spot-Test
Try a little on aluminum, coated, or painted parts in a hidden area and make sure nothing darkens or blisters.
- Clean as Directed
Follow the dwell time for each spot and use one product at a time. Never mix cleaners.
- Check and Rinse
Make sure the char has scraped or scrubbed off, then rinse and dry any food-contact parts.
Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about how to use it, which surfaces are safe, and private-label orders.
Use & Cleaning
How do you clean baked-on grease in an oven?
Use a gel oven cleaner. With the oven completely cold and gloves on, apply it evenly, close the door, and wait 15–30 minutes (up to an hour for heavy buildup). Scrape off the softened grease with a plastic scraper, then wipe repeatedly with a damp cloth and clean water. Keep it off the heating elements, fan, and door seal.
How do you clean burnt BBQ grates?
Once the grill is cool, scrape off loose char, spray the BBQ grill cleaner, and wait 3–5 minutes (about 10 for heavy carbon). Brush along the bars with a grill brush, rinse with clean water, and dry before cooking. Removable grates and cast-iron griddles can also be foamed with the oven and grill cleaner, left 10–20 minutes, and scrubbed.
How do you clean oven door glass?
Spray the oven glass cleaner on cool glass, wait 5–10 minutes, scrape at a low angle, wipe twice with clean water, and buff dry. Film trapped between the panes can only be reached by removing the door or inner glass as the manual describes, so never pour cleaner into the gaps.
Surfaces & Safety
Can I use oven cleaner on aluminum or non-stick pans?
No. All four are strong alkaline formulas that darken and corrode aluminum and damage non-stick coatings. Use a neutral cleaner on aluminum and non-stick bakeware.
Can I use it in a self-cleaning oven?
Keep oven cleaner off catalytic self-clean liners (the rough, dark coating on some oven walls) and use the oven's self-clean cycle as the manual describes. Standard enamel interiors are fine.
Can I cook on the grates right after cleaning?
Not right away. Rinse or wipe food-contact grates and trays with clean water and dry them first. Oil cast-iron griddles lightly after drying to prevent rust.
Private Label & Sourcing
What should I prepare before asking about a private-label oven cleaner?
Settle four things: whether you're targeting ovens, racks, or outdoor grills; gel, foam, or liquid spray; scent and bottle size; and your target market and label language. Then we'll arrange free samples, usually ready in 3–5 days.
What documents come with an OEM oven or grill cleaner?
We provide SDS/MSDS, TDS, and batch COA, and prepare warning statements and label copy for your target market. These documents aren't posted for download; we send them on request after you inquire.
What are the MOQ and lead time for oven and grill cleaners?
Standard projects start at 500 bottles. Free samples are usually ready in 3–5 days, and production is scheduled after packaging and labels are approved. Grill cleaners are seasonal, so confirm samples 1–2 months before peak season.

Launching an Oven or Grill Cleaner? Start with Free Samples
Cleaning ovens and grills comes down to the spot: a heavy-duty gel that slowly softens oven interiors, foam and a stiff brush for racks and griddles, a glass formula and scraper for oven doors, and a liquid spray you brush and rinse off outdoor grills. Keep strong alkaline products off aluminum and non-stick. If you're launching your own oven or grill cleaner, CleenU can start from these four formulas, with free samples first and a 500-bottle MOQ.
