Multi-Purpose Oven & Grill Cleaner
Heavy-duty foam · Oven and grill in one · Private label
Cast-iron grates caked black, with charred bits in the gaps? On cool surfaces, foam, wait 10–20 minutes (30 for heavy buildup), wire-brush, and rinse to bare metal. One bottle for ovens, pans, and stove grates; private label from 500 bottles.
- Fat spattered in an oven and juices dripping onto a grill are heated repeatedly above 200°C; they oxidize and polymerize into a tacky film, then carbonize into a black crust with caramelized sugars and burnt protein mixed in. Whether in the oven or on the grill, the chemistry is the same, so one strong alkaline cleaner handles both: it saponifies the polymerized fat and swells the carbon so it releases from metal and enamel.
- Oven walls and grate bars are vertical or narrow, so liquids run off. The foam trigger lays down foam that stays put and works for over 20 minutes. Steel and cast-iron grates can take a wire brush; use a stiff brush or plastic scraper on oven enamel. Always rinse or wipe with water afterward to remove alkaline residue so there’s no smell next time, and rub cast iron with cooking oil once dry to prevent rust.

Before & after
Before and after (use illustration)
Before: a cast-iron grate used all summer is caked with black char and burnt meat in the gaps. After: foamed cold, left 20 minutes, wire-brushed, rinsed, dried, and oiled, the bars show dark bare metal and the gaps are clean.
- Before: black crust on cast-iron grates, charred bits in the gaps
- After: bare dark metal and clean gaps
- Rinse, dry, and oil so the cast iron doesn’t rust

How it works
How Burnt Grease Lets Go
Oven and grill black is a network of oxidized, polymerized fat with carbon and burnt protein and sugar. Strong alkali keeps saponifying the ester bonds, breaking the network into soluble fatty-acid salts; high pH swells and weakens the carbon layer and partly hydrolyzes burnt protein; surfactants and foaming agents keep the solution wet as foam on walls and thin bars. Scrubbing peels the loosened carbon away, and water removes the alkaline residue.
- Foam clings
- Strong alkali saponifies polymerized fat
- Swells carbon
- Breaks down burnt protein and sugar
- Scrub and rinse

Usage guidance
Use guidance
- Make sure the oven or grill is cold and the power or gas is off; wear alkali-resistant gloves and goggles and ventilate.
- Cover with foam and wait 10 to 20 minutes, 30 for heavy buildup; grates can sit longer sealed in a plastic bag.
- Wire-brush grates and griddles, use a stiff brush or plastic scraper on oven enamel, rinse or wipe clean with water, and oil cast iron once dry.

Where Multi-Purpose Oven & Grill Cleaner stands out
Oven Black and Grill Char Are the Same Soil
Fat spattered in an oven and juices dripping onto a grill are heated repeatedly above 200°C; they oxidize and polymerize into a tacky film, then carbonize into a black crust with caramelized sugars and burnt protein mixed in. Whether in the oven or on the grill, the chemistry is the same, so one strong alkaline cleaner handles both: it saponifies the polymerized fat and swells the carbon so it releases from metal and enamel.
Clinging Foam Plus a Wire Brush
Oven walls and grate bars are vertical or narrow, so liquids run off.

Why choose CleenU for Multi-Purpose Oven & Grill Cleaner?
From product positioning and samples to packaging and repeat supply, CleenU supports OEM/ODM projects built around Multi-Purpose Oven & Grill Cleaner.
Strong alkali with stable foam
Keeping foam stable and clinging at high pH is the challenge; we use alkali-stable foaming agents.
Alkali-resistant foam trigger
Triggers must resist strong alkali; aerosols give thicker foam but ship as dangerous goods.
Sample reviews with clear criteria
Review samples on your enamel panels and cast-iron and stainless grates with carbonized soil against clear points: carbon removal in ovens and on grates, foam cling time, and residue after rinsing.
Lemon fresh
Lemon masks the alkaline smell; unscented is also available.
Labels and documents
We supply bilingual labels, SDS/MSDS, TDS, and batch COAs, with strong-alkali corrosive warnings, PPE requirements, and cold-surfaces-only and avoid-burners-and-igniters instructions on the label, and can arrange third-party testing for your market.
Consistent supply and reorders
Each batch is retained and ships with a COA, so reorders match in color, scent, and feel.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
Find practical answers about Multi-Purpose Oven & Grill Cleaner, private label, samples, MOQ, documents, and delivery.
How to use
Can one bottle really do both?
Yes. Both are fat and food burnt on at high heat, chemically the same, so one strong alkaline formula handles both. Just avoid aluminum and non-stick parts.
What’s the easiest way to clean grill grates?
Once cool, put the grates in a large plastic bag, foam them, seal it, and leave 30 minutes to an hour, then wire-brush and rinse.
Will cast iron rust after cleaning?
Dry it immediately, warm it briefly to drive off moisture, and rub on a thin coat of cooking oil.
Surfaces and common questions
Can I spray the gas burners?
No. Keep it off burners and igniters; treat grates, griddles, and the firebox walls only, and check the burners are clear before lighting.
How should I finish food-contact grates and pans?
Rinse or wipe thoroughly until nothing feels slippery, so no alkaline residue is left, then heat the grill or oven empty for a few minutes before cooking.
What protection do I need?
Alkali-resistant gloves, goggles, and ventilation; avoid breathing the spray, and flush skin or eyes with plenty of water if splashed.
Can I use it on cast-iron stove grates?
Yes. Take the grates to the sink, foam them, wait 15 minutes, scrub, rinse, dry, and wipe on a thin coat of oil before replacing. Don’t spray burners or igniters.
The grates still feel greasy after scrubbing. Did I not rinse enough?
Yes—rinse with plenty of water until nothing feels slick, then once more with hot water. Dry and oil them.
Is it suited to commercial kitchens and BBQ restaurants?
Yes. Foam grates, sheet pans, and griddles at close, let them sit, and scrub and rinse before opening. Bulk containers with a foam sprayer cut cost.
Can I use it on my gas grill's firebox and lid?
Only where the metal isn't aluminum or painted. Use it on grates, griddles, and steel or enamel firebox walls, but skip burners, igniters, painted exteriors, and aluminum cookboxes or lids, since strong alkali attacks aluminum. Check your grill manual for what the firebox is made of before you spray.
How do I clean the grill pan under my oven broiler?
Wait until it's cold, then foam it and let it sit until the burnt fat loosens. Scrub with a stiff brush or plastic scraper and rinse until nothing feels slick. Steel and enamel pans are fine; aluminum and non-stick pans are not.
Buying and private label
What should we decide first for a private-label oven & grill cleaner?
Three things: whether “one bottle for both” leads the pitch (great for tight shelves and ecommerce), foam trigger or aerosol, and your market’s strong-alkali labeling and child-resistant packaging rules.
What are the sample, MOQ, and lead-time terms?
Free samples are usually ready in 3–5 days. Standard MOQ is 500 bottles, and bulk orders are scheduled after packaging and labels are approved.
What can be customized?
All of it: formula direction, scent, fill size (500 mL spray, 1 L refill, and more), mist or foam trigger, label design and language, and ecommerce bundles with a wire brush, scraper, and gloves.
Can we test samples first?
Yes, we ship samples first. Test them on enamel panels and cast-iron and stainless grates with carbonized soil like the ones your customers handle, and record carbon removal in ovens and on grates, foam cling time, and residue after rinsing. That tells you more than a before-and-after photo.
Which documents can you provide?
We provide SDS/MSDS, a TDS, and batch COAs, plus bilingual label content for your target market. They aren’t posted publicly; we send them per project on inquiry.
How is private-label pricing quoted?
Pricing is tiered by packaging, trigger or cap, label, and order quantity, starting at the 500-bottle MOQ. Send your target quantity, fill size, and packaging needs, and we’ll quote unit prices by volume tier with sample and lead-time details.
Launching your own Multi-Purpose Oven & Grill Cleaner?
Send us your market, format, packaging, and estimated volume. We will work through the strong-alkali foam formula and warning labels with you.
