CleenU product solution
Electrical Contact Cleaner
High-purity, fast-drying · Residue-free · Private label
Keys that need two presses, a drifting stick, or a flaky remote? Power off, spray a little into the contact with the extension tube, work it 20–30 times, and wait 5–10 minutes to evaporate before powering on. Factory-direct private label.
- Switches, keys, potentiometers, and battery contacts slowly oxidize and collect dust and skin oil. Resistance climbs, and you get keys that need two presses, sticks that drift, remotes you have to smack, and crackling volume knobs. This cleaner carries off the oxide and grime so contact comes back.
- Rubbing alcohol is about 30% water, and water on a board is a risk. This is high-purity IPA with fast-drying solvents, essentially water-free, quick to evaporate, and residue-free. It's flammable, so power off and remove batteries first, wait until it's fully evaporated, and keep it away from flames and hot parts.

Before & after
Before and after (illustration)
Before: a mechanical keyboard's spacebar and W key need two firm presses to register. After: keycaps pulled, a little sprayed into each switch, 30 presses, and 10 minutes to evaporate, both keys register reliably on the first press.
- Before: spacebar and W need two presses
- Sprayed, pressed 30 times, dried 10 minutes
- Reliable first-press response

How it works
How poor contact gets fixed
Oxide films, dust, and skin oil on contacts raise resistance and cause intermittent signals. High-purity IPA dissolves skin oil and flux residue, fast-drying solvents lower surface tension to reach tight gaps, and pressing or turning the part wipes out loosened oxide and particles. The solvent leaves no water or residue, so the metal contacts mate cleanly.
- Power off, remove batteries
- Aim the tube at the contact
- Solvent dissolves grime
- Press 20–30 times
- Evaporate 5–10 minutes before power

Usage guidance
Use guidance
- Power off and remove batteries; pull keycaps or open the controller shell.
- Aim the extension tube at the contact or gap, spray a little, and press or turn it 20–30 times.
- Wait 5–10 minutes for it to evaporate fully before powering on; mechanical wear needs a replacement part.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
Find practical answers about Electrical Contact Cleaner, private label, samples, MOQ, documents, and delivery.
Product, use, and procurement
Why do electrical contacts start acting up?
Switches, keys, potentiometers, and battery contacts slowly oxidize and collect dust and skin oil. Resistance goes up, and you get dead keys, scratchy volume knobs, and remotes that work only sometimes. Clean off the oxide and grime and the contact comes back.
Why not just use rubbing alcohol?
Typical rubbing alcohol is about 30% water, and water on a circuit board is a risk. This is high-purity isopropyl alcohol blended with fast-drying solvents, essentially water-free, quick to evaporate, and residue-free.
Can I use it with the power on?
No. Power off, unplug, remove batteries, and wait until it has fully evaporated (usually 5–10 minutes) before turning it back on.
What should we decide first for a private-label contact cleaner?
Applicator, audience, and kit. A precision sprayer with an extension tube, a dropper, or a pen; gamers and keyboard builders or appliance repair and audio hobbyists; and whether to pair it with a contact lubricant.
How fast can we get samples and a first order?
Free samples ship in 3–5 days. MOQ is 500 bottles, and production is scheduled once packaging and labels are approved.
Product usage questions
Will it fix a mechanical keyboard switch?
Often. Pull the keycap, spray a little into the switch, press it 20–30 times to flush out the grime, and wait for it to evaporate before plugging the keyboard back in.
Can it help with controller stick drift?
Many cases of drift are dust and oil in the potentiometer. Open the shell, spray a little into the pot, rotate the stick, let it dry, and reassemble. Drift from mechanical wear needs a replacement part.
Will it damage plastic?
Not typical ABS housings. Clear plastics like polycarbonate and acrylic are solvent-sensitive, so test a hidden spot first.
What precautions should I take?
It's flammable: keep it away from flames and hot components, use it with ventilation, and never spray powered or still-warm equipment.
Can I use it on GPU and RAM contacts?
Yes. Power off, remove the part, wipe with a lint-free cloth, and reinstall once fully evaporated.
How soon can I power on?
Usually 1–2 minutes after it evaporates; give tight spaces about 5 minutes.
Does it help scratchy audio pots?
Often, yes. Spray a little and rotate the control back and forth a few times.
How do I use electrical contact cleaner?
Power down first: unplug the device and pull the batteries. Spray a short burst into the contact or gap so the solvent can flush out oxide and grime. Work moving parts like keys, knobs, and switches back and forth a few times; for flat contacts, spray a lint-free cloth and wipe instead. Wait until it has fully evaporated before you power back on, and give tight spaces extra time.
Can I spray it on a circuit board?
Yes, as long as the board is unplugged and the batteries are out. It's high-purity isopropyl alcohol blended with fast-drying solvents and is essentially water-free, so it dissolves the oily film of skin oil and dust without leaving water behind. Spray lightly, brush with a soft brush, blot with a lint-free cloth, and let it dry before power-up. If the board has clear plastic parts, test a hidden spot first.
Will it remove corrosion or rust from contacts?
It removes the thin oxide film and grime behind most flaky connections, not heavy corrosion. If you see green or white crust on battery terminals, or pitted, rusty metal, the contact itself has been eaten away. Clean what you can, and replace the part if it still won't connect.
OEM/ODM customization questions
What can we customize?
Formula direction, fill size (100 mL sprayer with extension tube, dropper, pen, and more), trigger and tube, label design and language, and electronics maintenance kits with contact lubricant and brushes.
How should we test samples?
Use aging keyboard switches, remote battery contacts, and potentiometers with poor contact, and record continuity and resistance before and after, evaporation time, and any effect on plastic housings. That tells you more than a before-and-after photo.
What paperwork comes with a private-label order?
Documents such as SDS/MSDS, TDS, COA, and label copy for your target market are prepared per project. We confirm which ones your order includes when we quote.
