CleenU product solution
Leather Bag Cleaner & Conditioner
Clean and condition in one · Leather-friendly pH · Private label
Dark bag handles and dry corners? Put a little on a soft cloth, work it in with small circles, let it absorb a few minutes, and buff, cleaning and conditioning in one step. Factory-direct private label.
- Sweat, skin oil, and dust from your hands work into the leather and oxidize, getting harder to remove the longer they sit, while corners rub dry and pale. This lotion combines gentle cleaning and conditioning: surfactants lift sweat and grime from handles while lanolin and plant oils go into the leather, so one wipe and a buff leave it clean and supple.
- Suede and nubuck mat and darken with oils, and patent leather's coating won't absorb them, so neither is a fit. Light and aniline leather absorb quickly and can darken temporarily; test inside and check after 24 hours. Treat daily bags every one to two months and once before storing them in a dust bag.

Before & after
Before and after (illustration)
Before: a two-year-old tan leather tote with darkened handles and dry, pale corners. After: worked in with a cloth, left to absorb, and buffed, the handle darkening is clearly lighter and the corners have a supple sheen again.

- Worked in, absorbed, buffed
- Handles lighter, corners supple

How it works
How it cleans and conditions at once
Leather goods soil as sweat, skin oil, and dust work into the finish and oxidize, while fatliquor oils fade over time. Mild surfactants emulsify surface soil for the cloth to carry off, lanolin and plant oils enter the fibers as tiny droplets to replace lost oil, and a mildly acidic base keeps alkalinity from stiffening the leather, buffing to a dry sheen.
- A little on a soft cloth
- Circles emulsify soil
- Oils enter the fibers
- Absorb a few minutes
- Buff dry

Find practical answers about Leather Bag Cleaner & Conditioner, private label, samples, MOQ, documents, and delivery.
Product, use, and procurement
Why do bag handles turn dark?
Sweat, skin oil, and dust work into the leather with daily handling and oxidize. Clean early; once it darkens deeply it's hard to reverse.
How often should I treat a bag?
Every one to two months for a daily bag, and once before storing it in a dust bag.
How fast can we get samples and a first order?
Free samples ship in 3–5 days. MOQ is 500 bottles, and production is scheduled once packaging and labels are approved.
Product usage questions
How do I use it?
Put a little on a soft cloth, work it into the leather in small circles, let it absorb for a few minutes, and buff dry.
When shouldn't I use it?
Not for suede, nubuck, or patent leather; spot-test light colors and aniline leather on an inside area.
Will it remove pen marks?
Fresh, light pen marks can fade; old, set-in ink needs a professional leather service.
Can I use it on wallets and belts?
Yes, the same way: a little at a time, then buff.
What about mildew on a bag?
Wipe the mildew off with a dry cloth somewhere airy, then clean and condition; heavy mildew needs a pro.
How soon can I use the bag?
As soon as it's buffed dry, usually a few minutes.
Can I use it on patent leather?
Just wipe patent with a damp soft cloth; no conditioner needed.
Will it stain light-colored bags?
Test a hidden spot first to check for color change.
Can it fix a misshapen bag?
No. Stuff bags with paper to keep their shape.
Should I condition before storage?
Yes. Clean, condition, and store in a dust bag somewhere cool and dry.
Do I need to clean the bag before conditioning it?
No separate step is needed. This is a cleaner and conditioner in one: working it in with small circles lifts surface dirt and skin oil, and a few minutes of rest lets the conditioning oils absorb before you buff. For grimy handles, do several thin passes instead of using a lot at once.
How do I clean a white leather bag?
Spot-test on an inside area first, then use a small amount on a soft cloth. Light and aniline leather show color change fastest, so let the test spot dry and check it before you treat the whole bag. Work in small circles and buff dry.
Can I wash a leather bag with water?
Don't soak it or put it in the washer. Water stiffens leather and can warp the bag and crack edge paint and stitching. Clean it with a little product on a soft cloth instead, then store it in a dust bag somewhere cool and dry.
