CleenU product solution
Car Trim Restorer
Faded trim back to deep black · UV protection · Private label
Bumpers, fender flares, and rocker trim sun-bleached to chalky gray, aging the whole car? Clean and dry, tape off the paint, wipe a thin coat on with the sponge, and buff off the excess after 5 minutes. Faded trim goes deep black. Factory-direct private label.
- Years of sun and rain leach carbon black and plasticizer from exterior trim, and UV leaves the surface rough and porous so it scatters light and looks chalky. This restorer's silicone penetrates and fills that rough layer, black dye restores color, and a UV-resistant polymer films the surface to slow the next fade.
- Clean and dry the trim first or you'll seal dirt in. Mask the surrounding paint, wipe a thin coat on with the sponge, and buff off the excess after 5 minutes to avoid streaks and runs. Keep it out of rain and washes for 24 hours. Keep it off paint, glass, and tire treads, and don't use it on dashboards, where it causes glare.

Before & after
Before and after (illustration)
Before: a six-year-old SUV with the black plastic on the lower bumpers, fender flares, and rockers sun-faded to gray. After: cleaned, dried, masked, coated thin, and buffed, the trim is deep black and the car looks noticeably newer.
- Before: gray bumpers, flares, rockers
- Cleaned, masked, coated thin, buffed
- Deep black, fresher look

How it works
How faded plastic turns black again
As exterior plastics (mostly PP and TPO) age, surface polymer chains break and carbon black and antioxidants migrate out, leaving a micro-rough white layer. Low-molecular silicone penetrates and levels those pores so the surface is smooth and stops scattering light, dispersed black dye adds color back, and a UV-resistant polymer crosslinks into a thin film that absorbs some UV to slow aging.
- Clean and dry
- Mask the paint
- Wipe a thin coat
- Silicone fills, dye recolors
- Buff excess after 5 minutes

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
Find practical answers about Car Trim Restorer, private label, samples, MOQ, documents, and delivery.
Product, use, and procurement
How long does it last?
Usually two to four months, depending on sun and washing. Using a pH-neutral car wash helps it last longer.
Can I use it on the dash?
We don't recommend it. Exterior trim products cause glare on the dash; use a matte interior protectant instead.
How fast can we get samples and a first order?
Free samples ship in 3–5 days. MOQ is 500 bottles, and production is scheduled once packaging and labels are approved.
Product usage questions
How do I use it?
Clean and dry the trim, tape off nearby paint, apply a little with the sponge evenly, buff off excess after 5 minutes, and keep it dry for 24 hours.
When shouldn't I use it?
Keep it off paint, glass, and tire tread, and don't use it on the dash (it causes glare).
Can I use it on gray textured trim?
It contains black dye, so use it on black plastic only, not gray or colored trim.
What if I get it on the paint?
Wipe it off while wet with a microfiber towel and a little cleaner.
Can I use it on rubber weatherstripping?
Yes. A thin, buffed coat turns faded seals black again.
Can I use it on mirror housings?
Black plastic housings, yes; not painted ones.
Can I use it on roof racks?
On black plastic or rubber parts, yes; aluminum parts don't need it.
Does a new car need it?
New trim is in good shape; a thin coat now and then helps prevent fading.
How many uses per bottle?
About 20–30 mL per car, so 8–10 applications.
Can I apply it before rain?
Keep it dry for 24 hours, so not right before rain.
How do I restore faded black plastic trim?
Clean and dry the trim, then wipe on a thin coat of trim restorer to bring the black back. Tape off nearby paint, apply a little with the sponge, buff off the excess after 5 minutes, and keep it dry for 24 hours. CleenU Car Trim Restorer contains black dye, so use it only on black plastic and rubber.
Is there a permanent way to restore car trim?
No; plan on reapplying every two to four months. How long a coat lasts depends on sun exposure and how often you wash the car, and a pH-neutral car wash helps it last longer. When the trim starts looking gray again, clean it and add another thin coat.
How does trim restorer work?
It lays a thin, dyed coat over faded plastic, so gray, chalky trim reads black again. That's why prep matters: the trim has to be clean and dry for the coat to go on evenly. Sun and washing wear the coat down over time, so treat it as regular maintenance, not a one-time fix.
