CleenU product solution
Hot Tub & Spa Cleaner
Flush the plumbing before every drain · Less cloudy water and odor · Private label
Black flakes shooting out of the jets, and fresh water turning cloudy and smelly within days? Before draining, add 8 oz per 250 gallons, run the jets 30–60 minutes, drain, rinse the shell, and refill. Factory-direct private label.
- Spa plumbing is long and dark, and lotion, sunscreen, skin flakes, and scale build into a biofilm on the pipe walls that you never see until the jets shoot out black flakes. Drain without flushing and the new water is quickly contaminated by what's left in the lines. Add this cleaner before draining, and mild alkali and surfactants flush the biofilm and oils while chelators cut scale.
- No one should be in the water while it circulates; this is a flush, not a soak. Don't add it along with chlorine products. After circulating, drain, rinse the shell and filters, refill, and balance the water per your equipment. Follow your tub maker's instructions where they differ, and use a soft cloth on acrylic shells.

Before & after
Before and after (illustration)
Before: a year-old outdoor spa that shoots black flakes from the jets every time, with water going cloudy and smelly a week after refilling. After: dosed before draining and circulated 45 minutes, then drained, rinsed, and refilled, the jets run clean and the new water stays clear longer.

- Clean jets, clear water longer

How it works
How plumbing biofilm gets flushed
Spa biofilm is bacterial polysaccharide binding body oils, skin flakes, cosmetics, and calcium carbonate. Mild alkaline builders swell and break down the polysaccharide matrix, nonionic surfactants emulsify oils and peel the film off the pipe walls, chelators dissolve scale by binding calcium and magnesium, and a defoamer suppresses foam so nothing overflows.
- Dose before draining
- Run jets 30–60 minutes
- Break down biofilm, emulsify oil
- Drain, rinse shell and filters
- Refill and balance

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
Find practical answers about Hot Tub & Spa Cleaner, private label, samples, MOQ, documents, and delivery.
Product, use, and procurement
How often should I flush the lines?
Every three to four months at each drain and refill, or sooner with heavy use or water that clouds quickly.
Why are the jets spitting black flecks?
That's biofilm breaking off the line walls, a sign the plumbing needs cleaning. A flush releases a lot of debris, which is normal.
How fast can we get samples and a first order?
Free samples ship in 3–5 days. MOQ is 500 bottles, and production is scheduled once packaging and labels are approved.
Product usage questions
How do I use it?
Before draining, add 8 oz per 250 gallons, run the jets 30–60 minutes, drain, rinse the shell, and refill.
When shouldn't I use it?
Stay out of the water during the flush, don't add it together with chlorine, and follow any manufacturer requirements for your tub.
How often should I use it?
Before every drain and refill, typically every 3–4 months.
Can I use it in a regular bathtub?
For tubs without jets, use Bathtub Foam Cleaner; this is for tubs with circulation plumbing.
Should I clean the filters too?
Yes. Remove and rinse or soak them separately, then reinstall.
What if it foams a lot while circulating?
That means heavy buildup; pause until the foam settles, then continue, and repeat at the next drain if needed.
Should I flush a new hot tub?
Yes. Flush once after the first fill to clear manufacturing and shipping residue.
Can hotel spas use it?
Yes. Scale the dose to water volume and flush before every drain.
Can it clean the shell waterline?
After draining, wipe the waterline with diluted solution on a soft cloth, then rinse.
Will it affect the heater?
At the recommended dose it helps limit scale on the heater thanks to its chelators.
How do I clean hot tub plumbing?
Flush the lines right before you drain. Add 8 oz per 250 gallons, run the jets for 30 to 60 minutes, then drain, rinse the shell, and refill. Pull the filters and rinse or soak them separately while the tub is empty. Stay out of the water during the flush.
Can it clean a hot tub after folliculitis?
It cleans the lines but is not a disinfectant, so treat it as one step, not the whole fix. Flush the plumbing before draining, clean the filters, refill, and then balance your sanitizer per your hot tub manufacturer's instructions. Don't add it together with chlorine, and see a doctor about the skin issue.
