Steam Cabinet & Combi Oven Descaler
Commercial steamer and combi oven descaling · Inhibited acid formula · Private label
Cafeteria rice steamer putting out less steam and taking an extra 15 minutes per batch, and the combi oven throwing scale alerts? Power off and drain, add per the oven's descaling program or dilute 1:10 and soak 30–60 minutes, then drain, rinse 2–3 times, and run one empty steam cycle. Factory-direct private label.
- Steamers and combi ovens heat huge volumes of tap water daily, and calcium and magnesium drop out as scale on elements and reservoirs. Scale insulates, so a crusted element steams slower and burns more power or gas, a batch of rice takes 15 minutes longer, and heavy buildup can burn out elements or trigger scale alerts. This descaler dissolves scale with citric and organic acids, protects metal with inhibitors, and rinses out easily thanks to low foam.
- Power off and drain first, and wear acid-resistant gloves and goggles; on combi ovens, use the built-in descaling program when available. Don't soak aluminum liners for long or mix with chlorine sanitizers. After descaling, drain, rinse 2–3 times, and run one empty steam cycle, confirming there's no sour smell before cooking.

Before & after
Before and after (illustration)
Before: a corporate cafeteria's 12-tray gas rice steamer after a year, with heating elements wrapped in thick white scale and each batch taking 15 minutes longer than new. After: powered off, drained, soaked 60 minutes at 1:10, rinsed three times, and run empty once, the scale is clearly reduced and cook times are back to normal.
- Before: thick element scale, +15 minutes
- 1:10 soak 60 minutes, rinsed 3 times, empty run
- Scale reduced, normal cook times

How it works
How element scale dissolves
Steamer scale is mostly calcium and magnesium carbonate, with some calcium sulfate and rust. Hydrogen ions from citric and organic acids react with carbonate to form soluble salts and carbon dioxide, citrate chelates calcium and magnesium to prevent redeposit, inhibitors adsorb onto stainless and copper to limit attack on the base metal, and low-foam surfactants wet the scale without heavy suds.
- Power off and drain
- Program dose or 1:10
- Soak 30–60 minutes
- Acid dissolves scale, inhibitor protects
- Rinse 2–3 times, run empty once

Where Steam Cabinet & Combi Oven Descaler stands out
Why scaled steamers run slow
Steamers and combi ovens heat huge volumes of tap water daily, and calcium and magnesium drop out as scale on elements and reservoirs.
Do it right, rinse before use
Power off and drain first, and wear acid-resistant gloves and goggles; on combi ovens, use the built-in descaling program when available. Don't soak aluminum liners for long or mix with chlorine sanitizers. After descaling, drain, rinse 2–3 times, and run one empty steam cycle, confirming there's no sour smell before cooking.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
Find practical answers about Steam Cabinet & Combi Oven Descaler, private label, samples, MOQ, documents, and delivery.
Product, use, and procurement
How often should a steam cabinet be descaled?
It depends on water and use: every one to two weeks for daily use in hard-water areas, monthly with softer water, or whenever steam slows and cooking takes longer.
How is it different from a home steamer descaler?
Commercial tanks are bigger and run all day, so scale builds faster and thicker. This is stronger, includes inhibitors to protect heating elements, and is built for commercial descaling programs.
How fast can we get samples and a first order?
Free samples ship in 3–5 days. MOQ is 500 bottles, and production is scheduled once packaging and labels are approved.
Product usage questions
How do I use it?
Power off and drain, add it per the equipment's descaling program, or fill the tank at 1:10 and soak 30–60 minutes, drain, rinse 2–3 times, and run one empty steam cycle.
When shouldn't I use it?
Avoid long soaks on aluminum liners, never mix with chlorine sanitizers, and wear acid-resistant gloves and eye protection.
How often should we descale?
Typically every 1–3 months depending on water and load; more often with hard water or full daily use.
Can I use it in a home steam oven?
Use a small dose per the oven's program, or use Steamer Descaler at home.
Do we still need to descale with a water softener?
A softener cuts scale a lot, but schedule regular checks and descaling anyway.
How should we dispose of the spent solution?
Follow local rules; acidic waste can be neutralized with alkali before discharge.
Can I use it on steam carts and trays?
Stainless carts and trays, yes, soaked at 1:10 and rinsed; not bamboo steamers.
Do I need to remove heating elements?
Usually not; fill the reservoir with solution and soak; call a technician for heavy scale.
How do I add it for a combi oven's auto-descale?
Put it where the manual specifies and run the descaling program.
What about white residue afterward?
That's loosened scale; rinse a few more times and clear the drain.
How do I clean a combi oven's steam system?
Descale the steam generator on a schedule rather than waiting for problems: put the descaler where the oven's manual specifies and run its descaling program. Without an auto program, power off, drain, fill at 1:10, soak 30–60 minutes, drain, and rinse 2–3 times. Run one empty steam cycle afterward, and wipe food-contact surfaces with clean water before the next service.
