CleenU product solution
Windshield Washer Concentrate
All-season concentrate · Clear sweeps · Private label
Windshield smearing every time the wipers run? Dilute 1:20 in summer or 1:4 in winter (protects to about 5°F) and fill the reservoir; it cuts bugs and road film so the wipers leave clear glass. Factory-direct private label.
- Smearing usually comes from bug remains, road grime, and exhaust film that plain water won't cut, and oncoming headlights make it worse at night. The surfactants and solvents in this concentrate dissolve that film so the wipers leave clear glass. If it still smears after the film is gone, the wiper blades are probably worn.
- At 1:20 in summer it cleans well for little cost; at 1:4 in winter it protects to about 5°F, and colder regions should use less water or a stronger winter ratio. Never add concentrate straight, don't mix brands, and thaw frozen lines before refilling. Tablet versions make 2 L each and are easy to store and ship.

Before & after
Before and after (illustration)
Before: after a summer highway run the windshield is covered in bugs and smears when the wipers run. After: a few sprays of 1:20 washer fluid and wiper passes carry off the bugs and film, leaving clear glass.
- Before: bugs, smearing wipers
- A few passes with 1:20 fluid
- Bugs and film gone, clear glass

How it works
How road film and bugs dissolve
Windshield film comes from exhaust oils, road asphalt, and wiper rubber residue, and bug remains carry protein and fat. Glycol ether solvent dissolves oily soil, surfactants emulsify and lower water's surface tension so wipers leave an even film, and ethanol lowers the freezing point for winter use.
- Dilute by season
- Fill the reservoir
- Spray the glass
- Solvents and surfactants cut film
- Wipers clear it

Product, use, and procurement
Will washer fluid freeze in winter?
Mixed 1:4, it protects to about 5°F. In colder areas, use less water or a stronger winter ratio.
Why does the glass smear after wiping?
Usually an oily film on the glass or worn wiper blades. If it still smears after cleaning off the film, replace the blades.
How fast can we get samples and a first order?
Free samples ship in 3–5 days. MOQ is 500 bottles, and production is scheduled once packaging and labels are approved.
Product usage questions
How do I use it?
Dilute 1:20 in summer and 1:4 in winter (protects to about 5°F) and fill the reservoir, then use the washers as usual.
When shouldn't I use it?
Don't pour in undiluted concentrate or mix with other brands; thaw frozen lines before refilling.
Will washer fluid hurt paint?
Dilute it as directed and overspray rinses off with your next wash; don't let concentrate sit on paint.
Can I dilute with tap water?
Yes. In very hard-water areas, distilled water reduces nozzle buildup.
How do the tablets work?
Add 2 L of water to the reservoir or a clean jug, drop in one tablet, let it dissolve, and shake.
Can I use the summer mix in winter?
No. The summer mix freezes and can block the lines; switch to the winter ratio before cold weather.
Can I use dish soap instead?
Not recommended; it foams, clogs nozzles, and leaves film on the glass.
Can I wash the car with washer fluid?
No. Use car wash soap.
How do I choose winter fluid?
Pick a freeze point about 18°F below your area's lowest temperature.
What if the reservoir smells?
Drain it, rinse with water, and refill with fresh fluid.
Can I mix this with the washer fluid that's already in my car?
No—use up or drain the old fluid before switching. Different fluids are mixed to different freeze points, so blending them can leave you with less freeze protection than you expect. Once the reservoir is empty, refill with CleenU concentrate mixed 1:20 for summer or 1:4 for winter.
Why isn't my washer fluid spraying?
In cold weather, check for frozen fluid first; otherwise look for clogged nozzles. A summer mix or plain water can freeze in the lines—let them thaw before refilling with the 1:4 winter mix. Hard-water mineral buildup can also block nozzles, which is why distilled water is better for mixing in hard-water areas. If the lines are clear and nothing sprays, have the pump checked by a mechanic.
Can I just use plain water instead of washer fluid?
Not as a regular habit. Plain water won't cut the oily road film that makes wipers smear, and it freezes in winter. Mix the concentrate 1:20 in warm months and 1:4 when temperatures drop (protects to about 5°F).
