Tune alkalinity, acidity, inhibition and rinsing to the equipment and soil
Commercial Kitchen & Bar Equipment Cleaning Solution
In commercial kitchens and bars the dirt is on the inside of the equipment. Beer lines carry yeast, protein and beerstone, steam cabinets and combi ovens build scale, and boilers and heat exchangers collect mineral deposits. None of these can be wiped away; they need a dedicated alkaline or acidic product circulated or soaked and then rinsed thoroughly. We match three CleenU products to the equipment and build private-label lines for beverage and foodservice equipment brands, kitchen-equipment service companies and restaurant chains through OEM/ODM. All three are strong alkaline or acidic products and require protective equipment.

Beer Lines, Steam Cabinets and Boilers Carry Different Soil
For bar and restaurant beer lines, use Beer Line Cleaner at a 2% dilution (20 mL in 1 L of water): fill the lines, wait 15–20 minutes, drain and rinse with clean water until pH paper reads neutral. It is a pH 12.0–13.0 strong alkaline product, so wear alkali-resistant gloves and eye protection, keep it off aluminum parts, and add an acid clean each quarter on lines with heavy beerstone. For commercial steam cabinets and combi ovens, use Steam Cabinet & Combi Oven Descaler: power off and drain, follow the equipment descaling cycle or fill the reservoir at 1:10 and soak 30–60 minutes, drain, rinse two to three times and run one empty steam cycle. Boiler and heat exchanger scale is professional work with Boiler & Heat Exchanger Descaler, circulated at 5–10% for 1–3 hours by trained personnel following the equipment manufacturer.
- Equipment: Beer lines and taps, commercial steam cabinets and combi ovens, and boilers and heat exchangers, chosen by equipment.
- How It Works: A strong alkali breaks down yeast, protein and beerstone biofilm; acid products dissolve scale, and the boiler product is inhibited.
- How to Use: Fill beer lines at 2% for 15–20 minutes; soak steam cabinets at 1:10 for 30–60 minutes; circulate boilers at 5–10% for 1–3 hours.
- Safety: Strong alkali and acid products need gloves and eye protection; confirm aluminum first; never mix acids and alkalis; boiler work is for trained personnel.
- Finishing: Rinse lines to neutral pH paper, rinse steam cabinets two to three times and run empty, and drain, rinse and neutralize boilers.

Where to Use It
Beer Lines & Taps
Yeast, protein deposits and beerstone in lines, taps, coils and kegerators: fill at 2% and wait 15–20 minutes.
Steam Cabinets & Combi Ovens
Scale in reservoirs, heating elements and steam lines: run the manual descaling cycle or soak at 1:10 for 30–60 minutes.
Steam Generators & Carts
The same steam-system scale; rinse two to three times after descaling and run one empty cycle.
Boilers & Heat Exchangers
Scale in combi boilers, water heaters, plate exchangers and cooling towers, circulated at 5–10% by trained personnel.
Spot-test natural stone, coated, and wood surfaces in a hidden area first.
When Not to Use It
- Aluminum parts: Beer Line Cleaner must not touch aluminum, Steam Cabinet Descaler is not for long soaks in aluminum liners, and aluminum exchangers need a lower concentration and shorter time.
- Work without protective equipment: all three are strong alkaline or acidic products and need alkali- or acid-resistant gloves and eye protection, and the boiler product is for trained personnel.
- Mixing acid and alkaline products: alkaline and acid beer line cleans are done separately, and steam cabinet and boiler descalers are never mixed with chlorine products.
- Returning equipment to service before it is rinsed: lines must be rinsed until pH paper reads neutral, and steam cabinets rinsed two to three times and run empty before cooking.

Compare the Options
The three equipment types compared by product, pH, dilution and method: beer lines use a pH 12.0–13.0 strong alkali at 2%, filled and left 15–20 minutes; steam cabinets and combi ovens use a pH 1.5–2.5 strong acid at 1:10, soaked 30–60 minutes; boilers and exchangers use an inhibited pH 1.0–2.0 acid at 5–10%, circulated 1–3 hours. Acids and alkalis are never mixed, and aluminum is confirmed first.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about how to use it, which surfaces are safe, and private-label orders.
Use & Cleaning
How often should beer lines be cleaned?
Frequency follows the equipment manufacturer and your site requirements. Each clean uses a 2% dilution, filled and left 15–20 minutes, drained and rinsed until pH paper reads neutral, with an acid clean each quarter on lines with heavy beerstone.
How do I remove scale from a steam cabinet?
Power off and drain, then run the equipment descaling cycle with Steam Cabinet Descaler or fill the reservoir at 1:10 and soak 30–60 minutes. Drain, rinse two to three times and run one empty steam cycle before cooking.
Can I descale a boiler or heat exchanger myself?
We do not recommend it. Boiler & Heat Exchanger Descaler is a strong acid industrial product for trained personnel: disconnect the system as the manufacturer requires, circulate at 5–10% for 1–3 hours, then drain, rinse and neutralize.
Surfaces & Safety
Can Beer Line Cleaner touch aluminum parts?
No. It is a pH 12.0–13.0 strong alkaline product that must not touch aluminum. Wear alkali-resistant gloves and eye protection, and do not mix it with acid cleaners.
Can I use Steam Cabinet Descaler with a sanitizer?
No. It is never mixed with chlorine sanitizers, requires acid-resistant gloves and eye protection, and is not for long soaks in aluminum liners.
Why does rinsing matter so much?
Residual alkali in lines affects the pour and residual acid in a steam cabinet affects cooking, so lines are rinsed until pH paper reads neutral and steam cabinets are rinsed two to three times and run empty before returning to service.
Private Label & Sourcing
What should I prepare before inquiring about private-label commercial equipment cleaners?
Settle four things: line cleaning, steam cabinet descaling or boiler descaling; volume and packaging (bottle, pail, child-resistant cap); the target equipment; and the target market and label language. We then arrange free samples, usually ready in 3–5 days.
Can the packaging of these three products be customized?
Yes. 1 L concentrate bottles, 3.78 L concentrate, 5 L and 10 L pails, 5 kg and 25 kg pails and labels can be set per project, and SDS, TDS and COA are available on request.
What are the MOQ and lead time?
Beer Line Cleaner and Steam Cabinet Descaler start at 500 bottles for standard projects, with free samples ready in 3–5 days and production scheduled with the order after packaging and labels are approved. The MOQ for Boiler & Heat Exchanger Descaler depends on the specification and packaging format, and production is scheduled once the specification, packaging and labels are confirmed.

Launching a Commercial Equipment Cleaner? Start with Free Samples
Commercial kitchen and bar equipment cleaning comes down to choosing by equipment, using protection and rinsing thoroughly: strong alkali at 2% for beer lines, rinsed to neutral; strong acid for steam cabinets and combi ovens followed by an empty cycle; an inhibited descaler circulated by trained personnel in boilers and exchangers; never mixing acid and alkali; and confirming aluminum first. If you run an equipment brand, service company or restaurant chain and want a private-label cleaner or descaler, CleenU can start from these three formulas, with free samples first.
