Tune formulas and no-spray guidance for motorcycles, bicycles, boats and helmets
Motorcycle, Bicycle & Boat Care Solution
Motorcycles, bicycles, boats and helmets are all things you clean after a ride or a trip out, with similar soils and different risks. Motorcycles and bicycles carry road grime and chain fling that need clinging foam and soft and stiff brushes by zone, with brake rotors and electronics kept dry. Hulls and decks carry salt crystals, fish blood and black streaks, which call for a mildly alkaline cleaner with chelators and care about where rinse water goes. Helmet liners hold sweat and skin oils, and shells cannot take solvents. CleenU matches cleaners to these four, and offers OEM/ODM private label for cycling and outdoor brands, motorcycle shops, marine service providers and cross-border sellers.

Motorcycles, Bicycles, Boats and Helmets Each Need Their Own Cleaner
Once a motorcycle or e-bike is cool, foam the motorcycle cleaner over the whole bike, wait 2–3 minutes, brush grime off engine cases, wheels and the chain area with a soft brush, rinse with low-pressure water, dry, re-lube the chain, and test the brakes before riding. For a bicycle, foam the bike, wait 2–3 minutes, brush the frame and wheels with a soft brush and the chainrings and cassette with a stiff one, rinse on low pressure, dry, and re-lube the chain. For hulls, gelcoat and decks, dilute the boat cleaner 1:20, wash with a soft brush or sponge, and rinse; spot-treat black streaks neat, and rinse with fresh water the day you dock. For helmets, mist the liner and cheek pads, press with a cloth to blot out sweat, and let dry; mist a microfiber cloth to wipe the shell. Never spray directly onto gauges, electronics, intakes, rotors, bearings or e-bike battery ports, and do not pressure-wash them up close. Always follow each product label.
- Motorcycle: Foam when cool, wait 2–3 minutes, soft-brush grime, rinse low, re-lube the chain.

Where to Use It
Motorcycles & E-Bikes
Foam when cool, soft-brush engine cases, wheels and the chain area, rinse low, then re-lube the chain.
Bicycles
Foam, then soft-brush frame and wheels and stiff-brush drivetrain, avoiding disc brakes and battery ports.
Hulls & Decks
Dilute 1:20 for salt and fish blood, spot-treat black streaks, rinse with fresh water, and mind where rinse water goes.
Helmets
Mist liners and cheek pads to blot out sweat, wipe the shell with a misted microfiber cloth, and hand-wash removable liners.
Spot-test natural stone, coated, and wood surfaces in a hidden area first.
When Not to Use It
- Motorcycles whose engine and exhaust are still hot: wait until the vehicle is fully cool before foaming.
- Disc rotors, brake pads, bearings, hubs and e-bike battery ports: do not spray cleaner directly on these or pressure-wash them up close.
- Algae and barnacles below the waterline, or soaking teak decks: these need a dedicated hull cleaner and teak cleaner.
- Helmets that have taken an impact, or the inside of anti-fog visors: damaged helmets need replacing, and anti-fog coatings should not be sprayed.

Compare the Options
Four common cases compared by product, pH, foam level and method. The motorcycle and bicycle cleaners are both ready-to-use mildly alkaline foams, pH 8.5–10.0 and pH 8.0–9.5, differing in what they avoid and which brushes to use. The boat cleaner is a concentrate at pH 8.0–9.5, diluted 1:20 with spot treatment for streaks. The helmet cleaner is a near-neutral fine mist at pH 6.5–7.5, blotted into liners and wiped onto shells. The four are not substitutes for each other.

| Helmet | Liner, cheek pads and shell | Near-neutral, pH 6.5–7.5 | Fine mist | Mist liner and blot, dry; mist a cloth for the shell |
How to Use It
- Cool and Avoid
Wash only after the vehicle is cool, and confirm which rotors, electronics, bearings and ports to avoid.
- Spot Test
Test matte paint, wraps and carbon parts in a small area first.
- Brush by Zone
Soft brush on paint and frames, stiff brush only on chainrings and cassette, never wire brushes.
- Check the Finish
Dry, re-lube the chain and test the brakes; dry helmets fully; handle boat rinse water as local rules require.
Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about how to use it, which surfaces are safe, and private-label orders.
Use & Cleaning
What is the difference between the motorcycle cleaner and the bicycle cleaner?
They differ by target and by what to avoid. Both are mildly alkaline foaming formulas with aluminum inhibitor that cling to vertical surfaces and crevices. The motorcycle cleaner is for engine cases, wheels, the chain area and gauge covers; the bicycle cleaner is for frames, wheels, chainrings and cassettes, and keeps clear of disc brakes and e-bike battery ports.
Why wash only after the vehicle has cooled, and what should I do afterward?
On hot engines, exhausts and brakes, cleaner dries quickly and can leave marks. Once cool, foam the whole vehicle, wait 2–3 minutes, brush, rinse with low-pressure water and dry. Re-lube the chain afterward and test the brakes before riding.
How do I wash black streaks and salt off a boat?
Dilute the boat cleaner 1:20, wash the hull and deck with a soft brush or sponge, and rinse; spot-treat black streaks with concentrate and wipe. Rinse with fresh water the day you dock and do a full wash weekly or after long trips so salt does not build up.
Surfaces & Safety
Where should I not spray cleaner directly?
On motorcycles and bicycles, keep it off gauges, electronics, intakes, brake rotors, disc pads, bearings, hubs and e-bike battery ports, and do not pressure-wash bearings and joints up close. Check the brakes and chain afterward.
Can the boat cleaner go on teak decks or below the waterline?
No. It is not for soaking teak decks, which need a dedicated teak cleaner, and algae and barnacles below the waterline need a hull cleaner. Collect rinse water where you can, keep large volumes out of the water, and do not mix with chlorine products.
Will the helmet cleaner harm the shell, and can a helmet that has taken an impact be cleaned?
The helmet cleaner is near-neutral; mist it onto a microfiber cloth to wipe the shell, never use solvent cleaners on the shell, and keep it off the inside of anti-fog visors. A helmet that has taken an impact needs replacing, which cleaning cannot fix, and liners must be completely dry before wearing.
Private Label & Sourcing
Can motorcycle, bicycle and boat cleaners be private labeled in small batches?
Yes. CleenU supports OEM/ODM for motorcycle, bicycle, boat and helmet cleaners. Standard projects start at 500 bottles, and bottle type, concentration, labels and packaging can be customized to your brand.
How long do samples and production take?
Free samples are usually ready in 3–5 days. After packaging and labels are approved, standard projects are scheduled when the order is confirmed to produce. Confirm details against your specifications and packaging plan.
Can you build cycling or boat care kits?
We can discuss it. Common directions include motorcycle and bike care kits, boat care sets with 1-gallon (3.78 L) concentrate jugs and 1 L concentrate bottles, helmet cleaner with a microfiber cloth, shop display packs, and channel case packs.

Building a Cycling or Marine Cleaning Range? Start with Free Samples
Cleaning motorcycles, bicycles, boats and helmets comes down to getting them clean and staying away from what you must not wet: foam the cooled vehicle and brush by zone, keep brakes, electronics, bearings and battery ports dry, then re-lube the chain and check the brakes; wash a hull at 1:20 with the rinse water in mind; mist helmet liners and wipe the shell with a cloth, and dry everything completely. Brands building a cycling and boat care range can combine products across these four, and request free samples from CleenU.
